Polish immigration authorities have returned 25 Pakistani nationals to their country of origin as part of a government clampdown on illegal immigration.
The migrants, who were flown back to Pakistan on a military plane, were subject to deportation orders issued for breaching Polish regulations. The Border Guard did not provide specific details of the deportees’ transgressions but described the flight as “discouraging the misuse of migration procedures."
Most forced removal decisions are issued for illegal border crossings and failure to comply with an order to leave.
The interior minister, Marcin Kierwiński, was unequivocal on social media, however.
“Zero tolerance for law breakers,” he posted on the X platform following the flight on Tuesday.
The minister went on to point out that Poland’s Border Guard forcibly removed almost 900 foreign nationals by air in 2025.
While most of the roughly 9,000 migrants who received return decisions last year left of their own accord, more than 2,000 were forcibly expelled, around twice the number deported in 2024, according to Interior Ministry data.
The increased removal rate reflects a more stringent approach to illegal border crossings, but one that has attracted criticism.
Tuesday’s flight to Pakistan returned migrants who had entered via the land border with Belarus, Polish news service oko.press reported. The outlet cited migrant rights advocates as saying some of them may have been sent back to face persecution or death.
Ewa Tatar of the Border Group (Grupa Granica) told the news site that at least one of the men had fled the conflict-wracked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region for fear of his life while another had escaped following a beating by militia.
The Border Group and other advocacy organizations have highlighted that none of the deportees was allowed to file an asylum claim under restrictions implemented in 2024.
The suspension of the right to claim international protection was brought in to tackle a migration emergency at the border with Belarus, blamed on a ‘hybrid war’ tactic of the Alexander Lukashenko regime.
In December 2025, Frontex, the EU Border and Coast Guard Agency, withdrew its cooperation with Poland in a joint repatriation flight to Pakistan citing legal concerns over the suspension of asylum claims.

Should have hanged them first.
Which are worse? Pakis or Somalis?
The best course is to never find out.
+1
Do widzenia!
If they didn't commit a crime in Pakiland then they have nothing to fear
In any case, it's not Poland's problem. Muddy islamo pakis are the last thing Poland needs.
Poland's strength is that it is racially and culturally pure.
“ do widzenia “
LOL!
And good riddance!
So they feared the conflict in a small part of Pawkeestan and there was NO WHERE in the entire country of Pawkeestan they could have gone to?
They had to flee all the way to Poland with fine white women and free stuff. Yeah. Sure they had to go all the way to Poland.
Only 25? Seems rather a small number.
Poland the only European country that gets it right.
“The increased removal rate reflects a more stringent approach to illegal border crossings, but one that has attracted criticism.”
What a despicable rag! I’m sure it has attracted more support than criticism, but they would never mention that.
Poland doesn’t offer much in the way of free stuff. Unemployment benefits are very low. So the pakis would be heading towards Germany
Why were ANY Pakis allowed in the country in the first place?
Hope it works for them while the invasion is manageable.
Think how much easier our job today would be if we had done the same years ago.
Either they broke through illegally from Belarus or they came on work visas - for the latter, I agree, WHY?
Good point. So the Polish authorities sent them Paking!
They come from Belarus.
Belarus Lukashenko is, for long time, trying to undermine Poland and the rest of Europe by allowing migrants from everywhere to Belarus and then shipping them over the border to Poland and Lithuania.
Poland and Lithuania already build a wall around the Belorussian border, and have increased border patrols, but some of them squeaked in anyway!
