One would imagine that has to do with the phone call between Walz and President Trump, read the other day that the Minnesota State Police was dramatically increasing arrests also. To what end remains to be seen, the invasion of illegals is in 49 other states in the meantime.
So, 700 Minneapolis cops and Minnesota state police are going to finally step up to their responsibilities to protect federal assets and law enforcement
Here comes the media narrative:

That narrative will get saturation coverage and may serve to embolden anti-ICE radicals in other blue states who are closely observing the tactics and efficacy of the riots.
I believe so. Which is good news!
It’s more than a narrative, it’s a perception. Blue states will now see that protesting and causing general chaos of immigration enforcement will get the Feds to step down. However Homan and Trump want to spin this it’s not a great look.
I trust nothing that the New York Slimes publishes, because they have no qualms with printing lies, that they know are lies.
Where they are needed.
Except the vice Agents are still there. It’s the DHS agents that were withdrawn. Ice is working in the Philly area also. It is better to be quieter and let the left play whack a mole.

However Homan and Trump want to spin this it’s not a great look.
Not a retreat, a tactical withdrawal. As you say, it is not just a bad look, it is a loss. The feds should have crushed the place
ala Sherman in the war between the states beginning with prosecuting anyone who was involved in this sanctuary city nonsense. There is no distinction between a sanctuary city and insurrection.
Did Trump give them a pass on the Somali frauds too. Have not heard much about that recently either.
What more can they do?
Burn, pillage, and raze the city? Then salt the earth as they head out?
Like it or not, the cities and states get to chose their leaders; as long as said leaders agree to not impede the federal LEO’s from doing their jobs, there’s not much more the Executive can do.
That was exactly my concern.
If they are going to move out then I hope they get sent here.
The governor and mayor already declared an insurrection—without any negative consequences for them.
Other Democrat governors and mayors know what that means—even if some Freepers remain in denial.
