Police allowed anti-deportation activists to maintain a road blockade in Minneapolis, Minnesota, until Daily Caller News Foundation reporter Jorge Ventura was assaulted nearby.
The Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) on Monday cleared traffic cones and other debris that the mob used to direct traffic and deter Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vehicles from Cedar Ave.
News of the blockade first broke on Sunday, but it remained standing by Monday, when Ventura was harassed and shoved into a car by masked men for investigating it.

The city let the antifa protesters setup checkpoints, blocked vehicles and ask for identification, and reported ice vehicle movements.
This activity appears sanctioned by the city at this site as police tried to clear it, and were laughed off by protesters

Minnesota resident was trying to go try a new burger restaurant
She says Minnesota ICE protesters stopped her car, they checked her license plate and won’t let people pass until their plates are ran
It’s insane that this is happening in America
“So now we need permission to drive from these people?”
This is what she said happened:
‘My friend told us about a dive burger place in Minnesota that we absolutely had to try. As we were driving in, we passed a small group of maybe 30 people holding large “F ICE” signs, spelled out. Many of the houses in the neighborhood also had signs saying “F ICE” and similar messages.
When we were leaving to drive back to the hotel, we passed the group again. At that point, the resistance group stepped out in front of our car and would not let us drive.
One woman appeared to be looking at our license plate and doing something on her phone. She was standing directly in front of the car, blocking us

So they built a wall, checked IDs, and vetted those entering the area removing those they do not want there? Interesting idea.

I’m actually shocked that the Minneapolistan cops were allowed to do that.
After the Saint Floyd thing, the area where he overdosed was controlled by the antifa types. I knew a guy who lived there. He said when he went home he had to wait for the black panther types to open the gate so he could go in. He talked to the cops about it. They said don’t bother to call us as we won’t go there, you are on your own.
Go setup another checkpoint right in front of them and stop all black people from entering. See how long you’re free.

I saw reports that checkpoints are still going on in various places.
