The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) has announced Friday that all driver's license tests will now only be in English.
This change will begin on Friday, Feb. 6 and will apply to all driver license classifications, including oral exams, FLHSMV said.
Before, these tests were offered in multiple languages for non-commercial driver licenses. For commercial drivers, the tests were only available in English and Spanish to get both their learner's permit and driver's license.
That includes the "Class E Knowledge Exam" for the learner's permit which consists of 50 multiple choice questions covering Florida traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices. To pass this test and to get the permit, the test taker must score an 80% or higher, which is 40 out of the 50 questions correct.
To get the driver's license after the permit, the test taker has to take a skills test, according to FLHSMV. The test taker will have to drive an actual vehicle and perform maneuvers that would be used on the road, such as a three point turn, parking, stopping quickly, and backing up the vehicle.

Not only yes but HELL YES!
DeSantis for POTUS!!!
Such an obvious thing to do. California probably has a version in Braille.
I have read that when foreigners take their written driving tests for CDL, they have interesting methods for cheating. Some involve ear buds.
Cool!
Now do ballots!
or AG ...
What? They’ve been giving tge drivers license exam in Spanish?
How long has DeSantis been in office?
He’s a bit too performative for me. Why are people so big on him I do not know

Probably!
None of my Uber drivers in South Miami speak English. It makes me wonder if they migrated here, as I would have thought they’d learned English in school. I even had to order coffee this morning in Spanish. Do they choose not to speak English?
“He’s a bit too performative for me. Why are people so big on him I do not know.”
Name a better governor.
Make ENGLISH ONLY voting BALLOTS.
Having lived in a deep blue state before moving to Florida a few years ago, I love having DeSantis as governor. It seems that every time a new decision is made, it is either counteracting some outrageous attempt to hurt the state or a decision that makes things better for law abiding tax paying American citizens.
I’m sorry that DeSantis made a really bad decision to run against Trump. He should have just supported Trump‘s policies and waited in the wings about future hopes. Now I think both Vance and Rubio have an advantage over him. Plus, non-Floridians, and maybe some of them, will never forgive DeSantis for opposing Trump.

Yeah, tell me about it.
I lived in south Florida and worked in Hialeah for 3 years, and
nobody in any lunch counters or convenience stores spoke English,
and that was back in the late 80’s.
Multiple lawsuits in 3...2...1...
Oh no, no more “Guten Tag! Sprechen Sie Deutsch?”
Which languages?
The language should be the state’s perogative. Move to Cali if Spanish is oreferred. Better yet...LEARN ENGLISH.
They better ask them to read these road signs and explain what they all mean, too. Anything less than 90% and you flunk.

(Hmmm...WTH is a "Chevrona"? A new "Tiger in your tank" gasoline?)
