Labour on course for its worst election result in 116 YEARS as poll puts it on just 15% in Scotland ahead of Holyrood vote - with Reform set to be biggest opposition party to SNP

Labour is on course for its worst result in an election in 116 years in May as Scottish voters desert it, a new poll suggests.

Against a backdrop of major dislike for Keir Starmer, Anas Sarwar's party is on course to take just 15 per cent of the vote in the Scottish Parliament election.

A survey by YouGov today suggests it will remain the third largest party at Holyrood, but with Reform forming the largest opposition group to the Scottish National Party, also leapfrogging the Tories.

Less than a third (32 per cent) of Scots who voted for Labour at the 2024 general election plan to do so in May, with more than a quarter abandoning it for both Nigel Farage's party (14 per cent) and the nationalists (13 per cent).

It is the second recent poll to show that Reform - led north of the border by former Tory peer Malcolm Offord - is on course to be the second largest party at Holyrood, despite currently having zero seats.

Labour's 15 per cent in both the constituency and regional list votes is below their 22 per cent and 18 per cent share respectively in 2021.

A YouGov spokesman said: 'If repeated in May, this would be Labour's worst result in either a Westminster or Holyrood election in 116 years.'

Don’t the English Globohomoists have the ultimate backstop, in that The Git King Charles can just say, “I don’t care what those peasants think, I will appoint Starmer as my PM for another term.”

He's not going to do that! He's already dressed Starmer down for abusing the farmers. (It only worked for awhile!)That itself was a surprising level of interference in the political situation for Charles. I am surprised he did that much. The idea of the “idyllic English Countryside” is one of his touch points. If only he had other concerns!

Amalia and Sophie need to run that country. Very very sad what is happening there. Why is it you can come “British” or “Scottish” or American but you can’t go to any turd world s hole and become “Somali” or “Pakistani “ if you’re white? My shop neighbor was born and raised in Congo, but always has to say he is “Belgian” even though his family has been there for 200 years and built that country. But a melanated turd with 60 iq can walk across a border and declare they are British (etc.).

Grrr.

Because the Scots don’t think Labour is far enough to the left.

No, because Charles is a “constitutional monarch,” not a divinely appoint king by God. If he refuses to accept a prime minister choice made by the Parliament, it would cause another constitutional crisis that the British monarchy would not survive.

Great Britain does not have a constitution, mainly because the King and Parliament could not historically agree on their separation of powers and lay it all out in one document. This is the entire reason the English Civil War started. The Brits have been kicking this can down the road for hundreds of years.

If Charles refuses to accept a prime minister, it would be a non-constitutional crisis.

The Brits will tell you they have an “unwritten constitution” that severely limits the power of the Crown.
