Tallanasty: DeSantis Adviser Embroiled in Filthy Scandal Plaguing Florida GOP Gubernatorial Primary Undercard

Christina Pushaw is a top DeSantis administration official who rose to prominence in political influencer circles in the 2024 GOP presidential primary race when she commanded a legion of “influencers” on DeSantis’s behalf in the race that saw him get blown out by Trump on his path back to the White House.
Now, Pushaw works for the governor’s office and apparently has been moonlighting as an informal adviser to a man named James Fishback who is running for the GOP nomination for governor.
Fishback has come under serious scrutiny over reports he lived with an underage girl for some time earlier in his life, and for his associations with anti-Israel activists.
Pushaw, from her perch in the governor’s mansion, had apparently been secretly advising and helping launch Fishback’s campaign while quietly attending campaign events for Fishback.

More political intrige and backstabbing in the article
The desantis political deceit and corruption continues
To: backpacker_c
Not clear this has anything to do with DeSantis: Pushaw seems to be one of those creatures addicted to power with no scruples about whom she helps as long as she thinks that person can succeed and she can ride the coattails.
Is there any evidence DeSantis is backing Fishback?

Yeah, good try. This went to court and was thrown out for utter lack of evidence. So, there’s been “scrutiny” and he was cleared, but this “journalist” wants to not report that and keep hammering him with stale, disproven allegations anyway. You can’t hate these people enough.
To: backpacker_c
What sort of idiocy is this article?
Fishback ranks near the bottom of the (so far) 14 Republicans who are running for Governor of Florida this year.
Nobody knows or cares abut this hopeless Fishback chump, but I guess any chance to bash DeSantis for something in which he isn’t even remotely involved is a joy for the feeble-minded.

One of the big problems with DeSantis is the alliances he keeps with Globalist like GWB, Jeb Bush, John Bolton et. all.
Couple that with people like Pushaw that he hires, and there are real trust issues.

pushaw has long been associated with desantis
she has been his press secretary before he ran for president, became his media advisor, and went back to work for him when he bowed out as some sort of ‘analyst’.

“ . . . lived with an underage girl for sometime earlier in his life.” So?
I lived with a nearly underage girl, too. Neither of us had a clue, except we were both hard workers. 45 years later we’re doing ok and still married.

The DeSantis bashers are getting a head start on the next election cycle—just in case. DeSantis could invent a cure for cancer, and some people would complain about how he is putting doctors out of work.

Meh. Desantis will never be president, so this is simply theater.

Yep. Sore winner is never a good look. Many of them live in crap hole states and can’t stand his success in Florida. DeSantis got stuff done and unlike “conservatives” like Youngkin he managed to get things codified in legislation so it can’t be reversed by a successor. Meanwhile the new communist governor of Virginia is already trashing Youngkin’s EOs.

Now there’s more BS than in the Augean Stables.
DeSantis gets things done for the citizens and families of Florida by relentlessly advancing a firmly conservative agenda. His likely replacement, my Congressman, is a talker that needs to stay where he’s at and not get over his head by actually having to do something other than appear on Fox News.

Fishback ranks near the bottom of the (so far) 14 Republicans who are running for Governor of Florida this year.Byron Donalds is likely at this point to earn the GOP nomination.
And then he'll go on to lose the race because Republicans would much rather lose with a black guy (or gal) than win with virtually anyone else so that they can tout their "We're really not racists!" credentials.

Is there any evidence DeSantis is backing Fishback? Governor DeSantis has not formally endorsed anyone though he's said a lot of good words about Lt. Governor Jay Collins.

Or do you just like to throw BS around?

I concede that the GOP sometimes works that way (Kentucky 2023 comes to mind, and prior John James’ runs in Michigan) but this election in Florida doesn’t really come down to race as a deciding factor IMO.
Donalds is a good enough candidate though perhaps not the greatest candidate, and if he should somehow lose to an empty suit like David Jolly then that will be more an indication of a significant “blue wave” overall than a referendum on Donalds’ skin color.
As things stand now there’s every indication of *some* kind of anti-Trump/anti-Republican wave in the works for November which only the willfully blind can deny, but that wave shouldn’t be large enough to drown Republicans who are running statewide in Florida. Donalds should prevail by at least a little, and Ashley Moody should win easily in the Senate race.

Were you dead asleep during the primaries in 2024 when the Bushes, John Bolton and various other blatant globalists and Establishment types lined up behind DeSantis, gave him millions of dollars and even showed up on the campaign trail with him?

More deflection by the Pro-DeSantis crowd.

I grant you his policies and actions while in office are generally great, however, my point stands. Nothing you stated takes away from the truth of my point or the need to be extremely cautious where DeSantis is concerned. You can also take his wobbling on Ukraine as a warning point as well.

Black conservatives fail to win a significant portion of the black vote even if the Democrat is 100% white. Some ground is being gained among black males, especially by Trump, but overall, this demographic is the most leftist in the country. Not all black conservatives are bad candidates, but Winsome Sears and Herschel Walker were poor choices, essentially GOP affirmative action selections. Florida is perhaps the only state where conservatives have gained ground in this century, largely due to DeSantis’s administration. We have seen Virginia and Colorado, once moderate to conservative, move to the dark side.

Jeb showed up at his inauguration as a former Florida governor.
