Half of the money supported general “social welfare activities.” The Ford Foundation contributed $150,000 in 2024 and $550,000 in 2025, while the MacArthur Foundation—the 12th-largest private charity in America—gave $250,000 in 2024, according to tax filings and grant disclosures.

An old lawyer friend of mine told me how he picked young lawyers for his firm. They needed three different qualities:
(1) Legal skills—knowledge of the law
(2) Willingness to work hard
and—he said the most important one—totally intangible
(3) Fanatical desire to do what it takes to win cases
I think Bondi definitely does not have the third. (We could debate the first two.)
