House Republicans are asking Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to explain reports about the Biden administration having purchased a device allegedly linked to "Havana Syndrome."
House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Andrew Garbarino led six subcommittee chairmen in sending a letter on Wednesday to Noem and her agency in which they ask for a detailed explanation of how the device was acquired, its cost, the results of the year-long testing period of the device and what specific analytical or operational purpose the department had for obtaining the device.

More recently, there has been at least one news report in which anonymous sources have alleged the federal government bought a backpack-sized device that allegedly contained Russian parts and that can emit pulsed radio frequencies potentially capable of reproducing the effects described by syndrome victims.

They could sure use one in Minneapolis.
Isn’t this device what was used to take Maduro in Venezuela. There was a report that a lot of CubAN TROOPS there WERE getting sick and vomiting blood.
Havana Syndrome.....or Anomalous Health Incidents (AHIs).......refers to a mysterious set of neurological symptoms, including dizziness, headaches, cognitive issues, and hearing problems.
First reported by U.S. and Canadian diplomats in Cuba in 2016 and later in other locations, with suspected causes ranging from targeted sonic/microwave attacks to mass psychogenic illness, though no definitive cause is confirmed.
Affected individuals often report sudden, intense sounds and head pressure, leading to chronic symptoms, while some experts point towards directed energy as a likely culprit.
While it is unclear how much money was spent on acquiring the device or where it came from, the price was allegedly “in excess of ten million dollars,” the chairmen wrote.

Isn’t this the device that was used to take Maduro in Venezuela?? There was a report that a lot of Cuban troops there were getting sick and vomiting blood because of some sonic weapon the US used against them.
So the Russians have destroyed American lives with this technology.
What will America do about it. Any response against Russia?
The administration should refuse. The acquisition of the device - if it exists - should have the highest possible classification as well as any testing of it, as well any additional manufacturing of such. Congress has no respect for classified information - especially the most important classified information.
You set a moral example by not doing it yourself. You know, like the Chinese build a navy for war, which is wrong, so you make it so you can’t build up your own Navy.
When Hitler would hold his large rallies, they would pump low frequency sound over the PA. The crowd would feel mildly nauseous.
Once Adolph came on stage, they’d turn off the low frequency sound and people had this unexplained sense of euphoria being in Hitler’s presence.
Tell them it is top secret and only available for briefing in secured area. Each legislator to sign non-disclosure forms which include non-disclosure to seditious/traitorous staffers.

Kristi Noem Says People Should Be Prepared to Prove US Citizenship
Jan 15, 2026
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem advised reporters that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers may ask some Americans for proof of citizenship during enforcement operations.
"In every situation we are doing targeted enforcement," said Noem during a press gaggle outside the White House Thursday in response to a reporter asking why some Americans have been asked to provide proof of citizenship in Minnesota.
"If we are on a target, there may be individuals surrounding that criminal that we may be asking who they are and why they're there and having them validate their identity," Noem said.
When the rule was emphasized by Trump, there were warnings that if all immigrants were supposed to carry documentation, by default all people in the U.S. would have to carry ID so that they were not wrongly identified as an illegal immigrant.
Noem's comment Thursday that Americans should be prepared to prove their identity raises questions around whether U.S. citizens have to carry proof of their citizenship at all times.
Under the Fourth Amendment, law enforcement officers cannot demand to see a person's ID without any reasonable suspicion of a crime or a plan to issue a citation or arrest them. An inability or unwillingness to show ID, however, could lead to an officer arresting an individual for a suspected crime, rather than issue a citation.
Joshua Windham, senior attorney at the Institute for Justice:
"First, the notion that DHS is always doing targeted enforcement is simply false. There are countless reports and videos of DHS officers stopping and questioning people about whom they have no prior information and whom they do not reasonably suspect of violating any law. Suspicion-less stops—when the person is not free to leave—are flatly unconstitutional. Second, American citizens are not legally required to carry proof of citizenship as they go about their daily lives, and that's no less true when they happen to be near somebody DHS targets. We do not live in a 'show your papers' society."
I guess 249 years isn't a bad run.
They tested it on Joe and look what happened
“Havana Syndrome is a term given to health conditions reported by U.S. and Canadian government officials and their families starting in roughly 2016 that they say includes perceived loud sounds that result in months of symptoms such as dizziness, insomnia and headaches.” Hell, ain’t that life?
I can't wait to hear the date of purchase. Biden tenure is sure in the ballpark.
“Kristi Noem Says People Should Be Prepared to Prove US Citizenship”
I’m good with that, required in EVERY other country.
if this thing exists and is non-lethal, ALL ICE security officers need to be equipped with them!
but needs an intensity knob that goes to 11 to stop vehicle rammers!
Unverified report from one foreign guy who claimed he survived the strike that is most likely disinformation.
it sounded cool but the story is fishy.
Andrew Garbarino is anti second amendment type RINO who facilitated the democrats a lot during the Biden years.
I suspect the unverifiable report earlier this month from an obscure news source that cited a Venezuelan soldier claiming we used such a device ( spiffed up to include claims of blood coming from the ears of the victims ) is the lead salvo of some far left meme in the process of being built, perhaps to pummel Trump or Hedspeth with false charges of war crimes or some other crap.
“What will America do about it. Any response against Russia?”
Easy for you to talk tough from your Frenchy hidey-hole safe space.
