UGC/AP DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Iran's judiciary head signaled Wednesday there would be fast trials and executions ahead for suspects detained in nationwide protests despite a warning from U.S. President Donald Trump.
The comments by Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei came as activists had warned hangings of those detained could come soon. The security force crackdown on the demonstrations has killed at least 2,586, the U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency reported. The current death toll exceeds that of any other round of protest or unrest in Iran in decades and recalls the chaos surrounding the country's 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Who in their right mind believes that the regime won’t execute whomever they want in the days & wks to come?
Time for the filthy mullahs to receive “candygrams”
Right
I think its a safe bet that the Iranian government is going to kill the protestors or put them in jail for years. Let’s see what Trump does. He clearly said there were going to be harsh consequences if the Iranian government engaged in mass killings of protestors. The government did that. But in his recent statements, Trump seems to be backpedaling.
If we enforced our laws in the U.S. these Minneapolis protesters who throw objects damaging cars and those who block streets would be prosecuted and these violent non peaceful protests would immediately stop.
Bomb the executioners.
As they attempt their murder.
Bomb the prison gates.
Bomb the police stations.
Bomb the military barracks.
No boots.
Just JDAM them to kingdom come!
The Regime is gonna do what it wants. The only thing that will stop them is a bomb on their Azz.
According to Walla military analyst Amir Bohbot, Donald Trump personally intervened late last night to halt a planned US strike on Iran.
• Iranian airspace has since reopened
• Assets scrambled from Al Udeid Air Base were ordered to return and remain on standby
• Mission reportedly canceled minutes before execution
Why Trump pulled the plug: Trump has told advisers he will only authorize action that delivers a decisive blow to the Iranian regime. Officials could not guarantee regime collapse after a strike and warned the US may lack sufficient regional assets to counter a major Iranian retaliation.
Bottom line: no strike without certainty. Iran remains on the brink, not yet over it. Stay connected, follow
Over 6,000 sought care for eye injuries in Tehran during protests.

More than 6,000 people with eye injuries have sought treatment at a major eye clinic in Tehran over the past few days following recent protests, the head of the Munich Eye Center told Iran International.
Amir Mobarez Parasta said the figure reflected the scale of eye trauma cases linked to the unrest, based on information he said he had received from his colleagues.
He said the number pointed to widespread eye injuries in recent days.

After Iran’s deadliest protest crackdown in decades, authorities have extended their response beyond the streets into morgues, hospitals and family homes, turning the protesters’ bodies into a key tool for suppressing dissent and controlling the narrative.
Iran International has received a large volume of videos, audio testimonies and written accounts describing how the bodies of protesters killed in the latest unrest are being collected, stored and released under strict security conditions.
While a nationwide internet blackout, now about a week, has made independent verification difficult in some cases, Iran International has cross-checked and verified key elements through corroborating footage, eyewitness commentary and the consistency of reports from multiple cities.

What President Donald Trump did last night:
He pushed the regime's system to the brink of the cliff, the regime entered the defensive state they had planned for since the June events (hidden locations for senior officials, changes to secret emergency frequencies, and so on).
And since they, like the rest of the world, were certain an attack was underway, they fully exposed all their new emergency protocols that they had drilled on and so forth, at every level.
Now that it's clear to them this was just a (ruse), they no longer have time to implement alternative protocols.
While the regime thought the real moment had arrived, the Americans and their partners closely observed how the regime would react and what its new emergency protocols are; and this time it will be different from previous operations.
And now the Americans are ready.
Unrest in Iran sparks international warnings and diplomatic moves.

...Research indicates the death toll may be between 20,000 and 25,000...

Trump tells the Ayatollah, no trials, no hangings.
The Ayatollah doesn’t listen and hangs some people.
Trump then says, don’t do it again, or else.
The Ayatollah goes on with the hangings, and Trump tells him that he really means it this time...
and on and on it goes.
And the Ayatollah and the Mullahs win and stay in power.
Thoughout history, the side with the guns, wins.
Always been that way.
Can’t have an oppressive dictatorship before disarming the citizens.
Well, other than the US which is a dictatorship of the “judges”.
evidence: Prop 187 in CA years ago...the people voted for no free stuff for illegals, one “judge” cancelled the will of the voters.
Until bad/fake judges are purged, the USA stays a dictatorship of the black robes.
The the Ayatollahs get a Solemani-style “candygram”.
