The Trump administration has taken action in response to Minnesota's decade-long social services fraud scandal, which could cost taxpayers $9 billion. The U.S. Agriculture Department announced a freeze on $129 million in food stamp funding for Minnesota. This move is part of the administration's broader effort to address welfare fraud in Democratic states.
The Government Accountability Office estimates that the federal government loses up to $521 billion annually to fraud. Last week, Vice President J.D. Vance announced a Justice Department task force to investigate fraud nationwide.
"Those programs should go to American citizens, not be defrauded by Somali immigrants and others," Vance said.
In Minnesota, 98 individuals have faced federal charges, with 85 of them being part of the state's large Somali community. Republicans have accused Gov. Tim Walz and other Democrats of ignoring the fraud due to the Somali population's significant voting influence for the Democratic Party. "They've turned a blind eye," Republicans claim. However, Democrats argue that Republicans are unfairly targeting a minority community.
"The fraud is very real," said Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey. "And by the way, when somebody commits fraud, you prosecute. And yeah, you put the person in jail as an individual. You do not hold an entire community, any community, accountable for the actions of individuals."

He will find another jail-worthy judge to block it. But that will take a day or two.
They might have to use some of the stolen billions to give out snap benefits.
Walz should have resigned by now. He should also be charged, along with AG Ellison, Mayor Frey, Sen. Klobuchar & Smith, Rep. Omar, and Lt.Gov. Flanagan.
They all knew about this, and facilitated it for years
The problem is that Republicans are p*ssies and refuse to take action. Democrats also knew the Russia collusion accusation was a hoax, but they went ahead with it anyway. 10 years later not one of them have been indicted. Blatant, hardcore, sedition and not one has been give so much as a parking ticket. Compare that to what they did to Trump and they are getting their arses kissed? It’s sickening and over a year later this Pam Bondi is proving to be as useful as an ice machine in the Arctic, another Sessions and Barr.
Judge puts a hold on this, The Trump administration immediately complies and the money continues to flow but at least they get a headline out of it.
Taking action has to mean more than sternly worded letters.

So it's time for Trump to replace her. My guess is that he'll wait until the Midterms.
McConnell, Tillis, Collins and Murkowski will vote against her replacement. So at the moment, Trump has 49 votes.
