We now know West Midlands Police banned Jewish away fans from attending a football match in Birmingham because they feared the wrath of local armed Islamists. Then they lied and blamed the Jewish fans.
It’s almost a week since the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police, Craig Guilford came before the Home Affairs Select Committee and was confronted with the evidence amassed by my tenacious colleague Nick Timothy. He obfuscated and dissembled and was humiliated and disgraced. We’re still waiting for him to resign, or be sacked by the Home Secretary.
But was the police’s deceit because didn’t they think the public could cope with the truth?
The reality is the police can no longer sustain their authority in parts of Britain and have to lie to preserve the illusion.
Mass migration and the abject failure of integration that has flowed with it has meant that in some places Islamists – unrespecting of British institutions of law and order, violent or openly threatening violence – now have such a foothold that the police do not know how to assert control and maintain order.
They believe they would be overwhelmed if they tried to enforce the law. They are too defeatist to try. Or perhaps they believe it better not to as the sight of their failure would be catastrophic for faith in them and in the rule of law as we’ve known it.
Rather than explain this shocking conclusion to the British public they develop false narratives – exemplified by the Maccabi Tel Aviv ban – to preserve the pretence of authority for as long as possible. The Jewish fans were used as an excuse.

Saw the headline and thought it would be about Minneapolis.
Years ago when I lived in England, the men in that country were men.
Now they’re something else. It’s disgusting.
It’ll get fixed, just you wait...
My wife and I visited London back in May of last year. You can really see the clash of cultures there. The locals call east London “Little Bangladesh”. It’s a dirty area with lots of trash and graffiti everywhere. The rest of London is relatively clean and tidy.
I just realized on my last birthday that I’ve become of an advanced age.
GB will remain lost until I croak as far as I can project.
Well, that didn’t take long.
A free man of a nation desires to maintain his liberty and refrains from vigilante justice.
If he desires to maintain his liberty he must comply with the law.
When the law no longer protects him should he give up his liberty and
secure his own protection doing what is necessary, though not "lawful",
at the expense of his own personal incarceration while miscreants remain free?
Is that the solution for the men of England?

At first, I actually thought it was about the riots in Iran, with the police for some reason fighting the hardline Muslims.
It’s a crazy world we live in.

It looks to me like a “frog in a slowly heating pot” situation. Every year it gets a bit worse in the UK. A bit more Muslim crimes, a bit more illegal immigration. And a bit more government oppression.
The natives seem to be adjusting. And that’s a very bad thing.
Only a military coup can save them now. And what’s the chance of that happening? Maybe one percent, at best.
My observation is similar.
I knew super folks, and they were keenly aware and proud of their great Country's place in history.
My GF's dad was aircraft crew during WWII. His A/C was shot down over Germany, he parachuted safely, and made his way back to England. He would never have put up with today's English wimps.
Look at how things have gotten. That line could be saved for online news places to simply add a city and make a headline.
Tonight one was for Los Angeles, and we know Portland and Minneapolis and New York have the same condition. And London today. To go with many cities in Iran. Plus Venezuela.

Yep. There is a video on YouTube of a Muslim protest march through London. A Jewish guy (wearing a yarmulke) happens to be standing on the sidewalk.
A couple of British policemen approach the Jewish man. But not to protect him. They tell the Jewish man to leave the area because his presence might upset the Muslims.
Filthy, disgusting behavior. I don’t know how those police officers can live with themselves. Are they really that pathetic, that hollow?
Just cut benefits to all muslims and tell them to go home. Then announce random aerosoled bacon sprayers.
