oh definitely. why do we have intelligence agencies like the CIA or FBI, except to ferret out problems like this. If we aren’t, then something is seriously wrong. You don’t allow enemy nationals to dwell among you and especially hang out in trailer parks next to military bases. Don’t be surprised when mayhem ensues.
That section of the law, 18 USC 795 is very problematic and will be very hard to get a conviction. Taking a photo from a place you are lawfully present is a very slippery slope. At this point, he may plead guilty and just be forced to leave but if this goes all the way to trial and possibly appeal it could be struck down.

Nobody in the U.S. has any business selling any property to a Chinese national. We can’t buy land over there(who’d want to?) so why are they able to buy land here? This must be corrected now!
