Homeland Security Sec. Kristi Noem said the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer who shot and killed a Minneapolis woman was hit by her car in the episode.
“The officer was hit by the vehicle. She hit him,” Noem said. “He went to the hospital. A doctor did treat him. He has been released, but he’s going to spend some time with his family.”
She said there would be no pause in the Trump administration’s immigration actions in the city.
Earlier in the day, outgoing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) railed against the Trump administration after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
“What we’re seeing is the consequence of governance designed to generate fear, headlines and conflict,” Walz said at a presser, noting that he issued a warning order to prepare the Minnesota National Guard if troops are needed amid any possible unrest.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Trump administration officials characterized the shooting as defensive amid “domestic terrorism,” as protesters sought to block law enforcement operations earlier in the day.
“The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense,” President Trump wrote in a Truth Social post about the person killed.
Earlier Wednesday, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) strongly refuted the department’s characterization of the event.
“There’s little I can say again that will make this situation better, but I do have a message for our community, for our city, and I have a message for ICE,” Frey said. “To ICE: Get the f‑‑‑ out of Minneapolis.”

That’s right.
Dontcha know that only leftists are allowed to kill someone?
I saw video from two angles.
Darwin Award.....
She wasn’t running him over, he was clearly bumped to the side of the vehicle and wasn’t going to be killed. He’ll get off though, just like Michael Byrd got off.
He felt threatened and that’ll be good enough for a jury or review, or however else this goes down.
I’m debating with Darwin recipients on Facebook who are saying things like “he should have just shot out her tires.
Are you a write for the Babylon Bee?
“She wasn’t running him over, he was clearly bumped to the side of the vehicle..”
Yeah, he should have stood still to make it even. What a moron.
No I don’t write for the Bee, nor do I care that this person was shot & killed.
I don’t agree she was trying to run anybody over.
She was trying to flee the scene.
Ping, ping, ping. Ricochet Rabbit.
It appears her tires were on ice. If they weren’t, she might have run him over.
LOL-so you’re a special kind of stupid.....trying to flee the scene after the police tell you not once, not twice but three times to get out of the car, then hitting a police officer with said car, usually results in bad things happening...
>> “What we’re seeing is the consequence of governance designed to generate fear, headlines and conflict...”
No Timmy, what we’re seeing is a President and his Administration “taking care to faithfully execute” the LAWS OF THE LAND (that you, your state, and the turd world filth you imported violate with impunity).
FA. FO.
The agent and nation could not afford it. That women could have afforded it. The mayor and inciters of crazy people are guilty of this death. BOTTOM LINE!
Leftist narcissists can afford to abandon their stupid cult, will do nothing to them, we cannot afford to lose the nation for their caprices.
It will have to come to that every time or we end up like Englandistan
If she was attempting to flee, she would have gotten out of the car and tried to run. She used deadly force to try to affect an escape. That’s far different than trying to flee.
I agree. And she would run over someone if necessary to do it. Whether her specific purpose was to run over that agent is irrelevant.
I believe this same officer was hit by a vehicle and dragged back in June in Minneapolis. He was injured in that incident.
She didn’t learn FAFO doesn’t come with a ‘flee’ option if you FA enough.
She clearly was trying to and actually bumped him which is why he went to the hospital. His actions may have kept her from hurting others as she tried to escape law enforcement officers. Simply not blocking the road or at least following law enforcement orders would have saved her life.
There was a bullet hole in the front windshield. The officer was protecting himself. She was headed directly towards him.
>> She used deadly force to try to affect an escape. That’s far different than trying to flee.
