They moved out to Oakland back 30 years ago.

I was a high school freshman when the government closed the East Palo Alto High School (Ravenswood) and bussed all of the blacks to different schools. The blacks I got to know the best were on the track team with me. Even back then, I enjoyed their comments to me: “Damn! That white boy can run!” It is not the same as contact sports, but the camaraderie of competition helped. I never actually said or called them black. Dad raised us to call people by their name (what a concept!).
I lived in nearby Mountain View during the worst years of EPA. I used to enjoy listening to the police scanner on weekend nights.

We had to check the airplanes on the ramp at Palo Alto Airport for bullet holes from stray gunshots from the gang shootouts the night before

BINGO. Demographics is destiny. My Aunt and Uncle use to live right on the border of Palo Alto. There are a few types of melanin you’ll see. You will see a dozen Indians living in a small house in Menlo Park. You will see all the yard landscapers are hispanics. You will see lots of Asians. You WILL NOT see a black person. A good liberal black enjoys talking about how much they love “African Americans” but if they come over across the bridge the cops will be there so fast because the good liberal whites will not tolerate it.
So you’re saying that the Black population dropped 30% in ten years but, only 1.6% in five years? By the way where did those 2025 numbers come from?
Oh, I forgot, Hispanics suddenly got that peaceful easy feeling and committed no murders…..at all in 2025 even when they the majority minority? Something smells
... I wonder if the gallows they built behind the courthouse has contributed to the drop in crime.
