HISTORIC SHIFT: Republicans have overtaken Democrats in North Carolina voter registration for the first time in state history, signaling a major political turning point in the closely watched battleground state.
New data shows roughly 2.315 million registered Republicans compared with 2.313 million registered Democrats, giving the GOP a narrow but historic edge.

I’m assuming this is among live voters. DemonicRATS still hold a significant edge in dead voters, I presume?
What we don’t know is if these are really Dems with the ability to “alter” primaries.
Where were these dead Dems voters in 2024 when Trump easily won North Carolina?
It’s what pissed off, stage #1 looks like.
Where were they in 2024?
Remember John Edwards? I still remember Thom Tillis!
I hope the new republican voters are also becoming conservative and not just remaining liberal republicans who are going to give us another Tillis.
This currently is not exactly the most conservative state, NC.
It was a swing state...and Trump won it....
More proof that the Democrat Party was and is the real racist party.
Now can we PLEASE stop electing awful Democrat governors?
Republicans winning the voter registration wars in all 30 states that publish registration by parties.

Without watching the video, I can tell you that this is bogus.
Maine publishes our voter registration data and is majority democrat.

The GOP won House seats from NC changing a 7-7 margin to 10-4 GOP. A net pickup of 3.
This was done via GOP-favorable redistricting.
Only one of the 14 races was close — Dem Don Davis won his seat in a close race vs Laurie Buckhout by 1.8%. He is running again vs an unknown with Buckhout facing several primary opponents.
It’s generally the only vulnerable seat in NC. Davis is black and a former USAF officer.

Elpadre is is registered NC Republican. Most of my conservative friends are registered as independent but vote Republican because most cities have Democratic city councils and government. Republicns doing business with the cities are short changed by slow-walking and more. And Republicans don’t come out to vote like the Democrats, especially the minority ones. Local precincts are not doing their job very well.
Democrats had a 175,000-voter registration advantage just 2-3 years ago. The GOP has been closing the gap consistently and has now pulled ahead. A well-known poster here on FreeRepublic, LS, keeps up with this. GOP is gaining across the country...
“Republicans don’t come out to vote like the Democrats”
This is the key. Republicans think politics is a spectator sport. Sit infront of the TV and cheer or boo in comfort.
Democrats think politics is a participation sport.
I think the point is not which party has more registered voters but which party is registering more voters. So even though a state may be overwhelmingly blue more people are registering red than blue. In a few states this has tiptoe Balkan of registered voters in favor of red— like no, no and pa but in all recorded states
Mor people have registered republican tha have registered democrat
