Due to a software error, over 300,000 Californians will need to replace their REAL IDs, the California Department of Motor Vehicles said this week.
According to the department, a review of its data systems identified that some legal immigrants were issued REAL IDs that do not expire at the same time as their authorization to remain in the country.
About 325,000 individuals will be notified in the coming weeks and months about the actions they need to take to obtain a REAL ID or a non-REAL ID driver’s license, if eligible. The department will expedite the process and waive any associated fees.

With all the waiting in line my late wife and I had to do and then her” proof of live birth” was not allowed and we had to buy a state issued copy of a certificate of her birth, look at how someone could breeze through without even a legal name.

On Monday, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt tweeted a picture of a New York state commercial driver’s license his officers seized during an “enforcement action” on an interstate highway.
The name on this official state document, found on one of 125 illegal-immigrant drivers apprehended by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol: “No Name Given.”

Why bother. Just go to Oregon. When I got me “real ID” the clerk at the DMV didn’t bother looking at any of my papers. All I had to do was check a box that “affirmed” I was authorized to get a Real ID. And of course automatic voter registration too, again only requirement was checking a box “affirming” I was allowed to vote.
