Director of US National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has described as "a lie and propaganda" a Reuters report claiming that Russian ruler Vladimir Putin intends to seize all of Ukraine and reclaim parts of Europe that once belonged to the former Soviet Union.
Source: Gabbard on X (Twitter)
Quote: "No, this is a lie and propaganda Reuters is willingly pushing on behalf of warmongers who want to undermine President Trump's tireless efforts to end this bloody war that has resulted in more than a million casualties on both sides.
Dangerously, you are promoting this false narrative to block President Trump's peace effort, and fomenting hysteria and fear among the people to get them to support the escalation of war, which is what NATO and the EU really want in order to pull the United States military directly into war with Russia."
Details: Gabbard said that "the truth is" US intelligence has informed policymakers that "Russia seeks to avoid a larger war with NATO".
Quote: "It [the US intelligence – ed.] also assesses that, as the last few years have shown, Russia's battlefield performance indicates it [Russia] does not currently have the capability to conquer and occupy all of Ukraine, let alone Europe."

Rooters Sewer Service is distraught, no one believes them and their Western Media Cabal of liars, and now Gabbard throws them into the dustbin of warmonger history.

Yeah, it’s all a lie. Putin stated that he had no such intentions.
Of course, he stated in January of 2022 that he had no plans to invade Ukraine.
So...

I saw posts here just last week touting Putin’s power to run right over Ukraine.

Wonder what creative keywords zeepers will throw on this thread?
They have been on FR for a few years now touting that same lie.

Even if he could roll over Ukraine, what would be the cost to hold the territory ??
Inside of Ukraine from those who hate Russians, a guerilla war would break out, sabotage, IEDs, targeted assassinations, etc. , would become a daily occurrence for the Russians.
I could Putin taking Odessa, even that would come at a really high price.

I saw posts here just last week touting Zelensky’s honesty, innocence and dedication to the Ukraine Corruption Commission, though none of the Commissioners will tell Zelensky where they are hiding.

If Russia isn't going to "reclaim parts of Europe that once belonged to the former Soviet Union" (which includes eastern Ukraine), does this mean that the war is over?

In the last three years, Putin has lost 25% of the captured territory.

“Russia’s battlefield performance indicates it [Russia] does not currently have the capability to conquer and occupy all of Ukraine” This is an accurate assessment. If their debacle in Afghanistan didn't prove it (of course we had our own debacle there but were not successful for different reasons), then their inability to quickly overcome a tinpot nation like Ukraine shows that they are militarily a paper tiger. Of course they have the big stick of having nukes, but those wouldn't be of any more use in overrunning Europe than they have been in Ukraine. They know once they dare to press that button, their own fate is also sealed.
