Top US officials met with a Russian delegation in Miami for the latest round of Urkraine peace talks Saturday, despite the Trump administration failing to bring the warring countries to the table for face-to-face talks.
Moscow envoy Kirill Dmitriev flew to the US to meet with President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and US envoy Steve Witkoff in the Sunshine State, but refgused to engage his Ukrainian counterpart, Reuters reported.

Putin’s objective was to overthrow the Ukraine government. He failed at the start. All the rest is him saving face.

When in recent memory was the Donbas Russian ??????
In the 2001 census (13 years before the Maiden rebellion started this mess), 58% of Donbas residents considered themselves “ethnically Ukrainian” while 38% considered themselves “ethnically Russian”. Maybe my math is bad but I am still pretty sure that 58 is a lot more than 38. How did Zelensky get almost 80% of the vote in Donbas in 2019 ?? And if all of Donbas is so eager to rejoin Russia, why didn’t the people rise up and fight the Ukrainians once the Russians arrived ??? Perhaps the answer is that the majority of Donbas residents don’t want anything to do with the Russians.
Problem the Euro’s have is that they are wanna be Soviets. Even Russia is done with that.
Ukraine government is a bunch of crooks led by a midget cokehead puppet who is trying to save his own crooked arse while sending more of the Uke people to die in a losing venture.
Read his speeches to the world, from day one. Very specific, the ethnic provinces will remain Russian. He has accomplished that with the exception of Donetsk, which is now 80 percent liberated....the other 20 percent is being decided on the battlefield.
Believing the Ukies can somehow retake Lughansk, Donetsk, Crimea, etc is foolish....the Ukies are spent.
All the territory up to Odessa was Russian, established by Katherine the Great in the early 1700’s. The rest of “ Ukraine” was Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.....best to carve Ukraine up to it’s historic borders.
If St Z continues, Vlad will take Odessa, land locking the rump, corrupted nation.

Dmitriev is a finance guy and has been talking to Wytkoff for about a year now. Probably not authorized to talk to anyone else.
As for who is winning, only a few people know this answer, and none are in Ukraine. Tulsi Gabbard’s NRO knows, and they brief Trump. They do not brief Europe.
Trump has said repeatedly who is winning. No really good reason to believe he is wrong.
The UK does have some recon satellites, but very likely too few to do multiple pass per day analyses of troop movement.
So it’s all up to Gabbard. That’s just reality.
The side winning dictates the terms when it comes to ending a war. Russia is winning.
This war is 100% the result in our meddling in Ukraine. The illegal coup we fomented in 2014 setoff a civil war that led to the present war AND endangered Russia's access to its naval base in Crimea.
Most of the annexed area was grafted into Ukraine along with parts of Poland, Hungary and Romania by the Soviets. Crimea was "gifted" to Ukraine in 1954 when Russia and Ukraine were part of the same country.
It's all surprising those in the annexed area are ethnic, culturally and pro-Russian.
There are a few hundred thousand Russian mothers who probably don’t agree with you.
Not that human life means anything to someone like you or Lindsey Graham.
