The conservative Salem Radio Network is tapping CNN commentator Scott Jennings and Breitbart News' Alex Marlow to fill its national midday slot formerly held by slain activist Charlie Kirk.
Why it matters: The noon–3pm ET block — once commanded by Rush Limbaugh — is a staple of conservative talk radio. Stepping into that window will elevate both men from prominent commentators to central players in the MAGA media ecosystem.
Driving the news: Salem's announcement, shared first with Axios, said Marlow will anchor the noon–1pm hour and Jennings will host from 1–3pm beginning Jan. 5.
Marlow, Breitbart's editor-in-chief, hosts a podcast on the Salem Podcast Network and is a frequent presence across MAGA media. Jennings' profile has surged in recent years, fueled by his combative CNN appearances defending President Trump in clashes with liberal co-panelists. He currently hosts Salem's 2–3pm hour, after two hours of "The Charlie Kirk Show." Salem said the "The Charlie Kirk Show," now co-hosted by Turning Point's Andrew Kolvet and Blake Neff, will continue as a podcast on the Salem Podcast Network.

This is an example of Charlie Kirk's strength.
It takes 2 people to fill the TV slot and 2 people to fill the radio slot.
Charlie is dearly missed.
I didn’t listen to Prager but liked who subbed for him: Carl Jackson. Hope he gets a slot somewhere.
I hope that this becomes very popular. I have listened to Charlie Kirk’s podcast recently and find it very boring. I do not know if his podcast is a re-broadcast of his radio program or not.
My all-time favorite slot was when G. Gordon Liddy would sub for Bob Grant between Christmas and New Years on WABC. That man was incredible.
Still looking for a new “Rush”. Irreplaceable, I know.
I wish these guys well.
“Get off my phone”...you cretin. 👍
Scott Jennings is fabulous! I was with him a few weeks ago. Rising star. Good man.
I loved G. Gordon. Great show. Jesse Kelly is pretty good also
Still looking for a new “Rush”. Irreplaceable, I know.
Amen to that....I too wish them well
He used to have his own show too. I used to listen to Liddy, Limbaugh and Durgin on WHP 580 in PA.
