Almost as quickly as Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese could pretend not to notice who shot up Bondi Beach on Sunday — a horrific act of Islamic terror against local Jews during Chanukah — the Labor leader announced swift action to insure that such an attack could never happen again.
"What swift action might that be?" I can hear you ask. "Roll up the ISIS cell in Sydney that apparently everybody knew about? Expel unassimilated foreigners? Teach Australian police to, I don't know, shoot back right away instead of standing around with their thumbs up their you-know-whats?"
Nah. According to Albanese, what Australia really needs is more gun laws.
Those poor, overworked gun laws — never accomplishing what sensible government and responsible citizens are supposed to do, and always called upon to do even more.
"People can be radicalized over a period of time," Albanese said to the press before Monday's cabinet meeting, without specifying which people. "[Gun] licenses should not be in perpetuity.”
Revoking a slip of paper from a terrorist... yeah, that ought to get a terrorist to turn in his rifle to the proper authorities.
Australia's gun laws are already among the strictest in the world, following the 1996 Port Arthur massacre in Tasmania. Automatic and most semiautomatic firearms and shotguns were banned under the National Firearms Agreement passed that year. The NFA based licensing on the premise that gun ownership is a privilege, not a right.

Aside from repealing gun control, which isn’t gonna happen with this government, what is immediately needed from his government:
(1) Halt immigration of muslim “refugees”
(2) Cease anti-Israel rhetoric
(3) Hire cops who know how to use their weapons instead of hiding while crimes are occurring
(4) Execute the perp and expel his family
(5) Ensure sufficient security at Jewish events and other large gatherings
The Muslim terrorists we’re trying to stop the guns from invading the country and shooting Jews, but they failed.
Punish the innocent.
Reward the guilty.
It’s the “Progressive” way.

I was sent to Sydney in 1984 and while I was there, attended a gun show. It was just like the ones we have here and if anything they were even more avid shooters, collectors, and fun people.
But they don’t have a Second Amendment so when their “betters” ordered them to give their firearms, they did.
Now their government is saying that more regulation is needed and their system won’t support their rights. If there had been just one or two armed citizens at Bondi, the terrorists wouldn’t have as easy a time with killing the innocents.
It’s not stupidity, it’s deliberate. He is probably secretly thinking that the Jews got what they deserved. He just can’t say it out loud

As I understand it, there were quite a few police monitoring the event.... and they all just stood (or sat) and watched the killings happen, didn’t make a move to stop it until it was all over thanks to a couple of unarmed civilians.
The Australian Government wants the peasantry unarmed so there isn’t any resistance the next time they want to ship them off to a ‘Quarantine Camp’ or similar.
They can only have water-pistols and grease guns now.
Australian Prime Minister doesn’t realize that he can’t keep everyone safe while disarmed and clothed in Bubble Wrap. An armed citizen could have ended the threat much faster than their own police force. They froze for 20 minutes without any action toward the shooters. The Prime Minister’s line of thinking has created a country so afraid of firearms that they are hesitant to use them for their own protection and defense. That is Insanity.
Aussies are in trouble
So ignoring the root of the problem is the usual action leftists take.
Governments always love to have their citizens are their beck and call when it comes to defense. They want you totally reliant on them.
