The person of interest taken into custody Sunday in connection to the deadly mass shooting at Brown University has been identified as Benjamin Erickson, law-enforcement sources told The Post.
Erickson, 24, was nabbed at a local hotel room after a gunman opened fire at the Ivy League institution’s Providence, RI, campus during a final-exam study session Saturday.
The shooter was armed with a handgun and fired more than 40 .9mm rounds during the chaos, law-enforcement officials said.

The man accused of opening fire at Brown University has been identified as Benjamin Erickson.
The 24-year-old from West Bend, Wisconsin is a US Army cyber warfare officer, according to his LinkedIn.
He graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison in May before starting his military job.

I'll take a wild guess that a significant other (e.g. girlfriend/boyfriend/furry) dissed him and canceled Christmas plans.
Well, if he's a commissioned officer, he'll be spending the rest of his days in a military prison so there's that.
Wonder if he was wearing one of those realistic rubber masks like the guy who killed the legislators in MN a few months ago.
