President Donald Trump issued a “full and unconditional pardon” for Oak View Group co-founder Tim Leiweke, who was indicted by the president’s own Justice Department earlier this year, according to a document released online.
A federal grand jury indicted Leiweke, then the CEO of the live entertainment group, in July for “orchestrating a conspiracy to rig the bidding process for an arena at a public university in Austin, Texas,” according to a press release from the Justice Department announcing the charge.

“The former executive previously criticized Trump as the world’s “single greatest Con man” and praised former Vice President Mike Pence for “standing up and fighting for the Constitution,” according to since-deleted tweets of his.”
No apology or admission of what he did. Sure is nice to be wealthy and connected.
“admission of what he did.”
That’s part of the pardon.
It’s implied in the pardon. But that crook has never stepped up and given a statement admitting it and apologizing. The closest he came to it was the guilty plea.
The question is why did he get the pardon? Is there something special about him besides it being a multimillion dollar white collar crime and him having the right connections? Or is there some question about the case?
What gives?
Sounds ridiculously minor or quite possibly an example of criminalizing “The way things are normally done” and likely another political prosecution. Trump DOJ? There is no such thing.
Trump proves several things with this pardon....First, his DOJ is truly separate, unfettered and autonomous of his direct control compared to Biden/Mayokas who boasted of such but were actually joined at the neck.
Second, his ego really isn’t making the decisions.
Third, personal experience has taught him to recognize a shameless judicial railroad when he sees one.
Interesting, I don’t remember reading CNN stories about all of Biden’s pardons…….
Sorry but these Trump pardons are simply not making sense to most people. Little doubt the MSM is going to ask the Press Secretary about them and Trump himself.
Was the weekly version of ‘who is pardoned this week’ run while Biden and this drug addicted whore monger son were in charge?
Asking for a friend.

Is there a reason he keeps pardoning white-collar criminals and drug lords who clearly were not railroaded or the victims of political persecution?
There is a certain class of person who doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment. Trump is a successful white man who has similarly been railroaded by the corrupt justice system, and he’s now in a position to correct some wrongs that have been done.
“ Leiweke previously pleaded not guilty to the charge…”
Don’t forget, even now the DOJ is still FULL of Trump-hating Liberals. It will take time to remove them.
