Are you digging the World War Two analogies? Everyone's the new Hitler, because he's the only historical figure anyone's ever heard of. At their Monday-night poker game in hell, that no-name Jap guy must be wondering why he's chopped liver, but it's probably racist to bring that up.
World War Two "presupposes there was a World War One, right?" - as the late William Henry III claimed to have heard an American college student formulate it. No one knows anything about that either, but it left almost all the great empires in ruins, and thus bequeathed us the dawn of the modern era, which is itself drawing to a close.
So these days I find myself 'tween-wars, reflecting on my last visit to Connaught Place, which is well worth your time if you're ever in New Delhi. I believe a while back it was formally re-named in honour of Rajiv Gandhi, but I have never heard any Indian refer to it as anything other than Connaught Place - which you'd think would be funny enough for the chippiest Hindu nationalist: A district named after Queen Victoria's son, the Duke of Connaught, former Governor General of Canada, to symbolise the enduring power of the British Crown is now the seat of the Indian hegemony H1B-ing the world.
London ordered the building of New Delhi because they calculated it would be easier to control the Indian sub-continent from there than from the former capital of Calcutta. That was the only purpose of the project: to cement British rule. The King-Emperor inaugurated the new seat of the Raj in 1931 - and, within sixteen years, the Raj was gone.

Do read the whole thing....
No limit of any kind can be placed on the entry of third world migrants. The failed states of the world must be allowed to empty themselves out into America.
And you must pay for their every need, forever.
Again: How many Dawoods does any developed nation need? All together now: Zero.
What is the source of that table?
George Orwell (”1984, Animal Farm, Homage to Catalonia”) was a master of predicting the social and political direction of the UK and The West. He was not wrong. His warnings were not pretty but were accurate. Mark Steyn is very good but Orwell was the master.
He went to Spain as a Marxist ideolog and fought against Franco. In Spain he discovered the true nature of Marxism. He came back as a slightly left libertarian, somewhat like Rand Paul but not crazy. If he had lived another 20 years he would have become the likes of Victor David Hansen.
For current analysis of The West none is better than Victor Davis Hansen. His vast intellect can call on centuries of history, warfare, and political beliefs and apply it to what is happening today. It is not pretty.
It could just as easily start in some formerly-developed country, now majority-jihadi, attacking a neighbor state who tried to seal its borders. I'm thinking of Poland or Hungary against all of the rest of Europe. Or India vs. Pakistan 2.0.
Could be some unlikely alliances --- like Russia/China/Poland against Muslim invaders from the south.
Islamic states don't seem to mind warring with other Islamic states, either. Sunni/Shia/Talibans all fighting with each other.
Or it could be Steyn is right --- national borders could cease to be important at all, all violence internal and everywhere.
I would like to forward that tabular data for broad distribution, but I won’t do it without the source that compiled it. It may be true but that’s not the point. A post on X without attribution is insufficient. The numbers do seem reasonable, but other sources do differ by varying degrees.
It is still very difficult to acquire Swiss citizenship (one must actually become the citizen of an individual Canton before acquiring Swiss citizenship - and "blackballing" is still a thing). Most of the "migrants" in that figure are the citizens of First World Countries (France, Germany, Italy, etc.) who work there in the service sector, and whose activities are strictly controlled.
In our minds, we certainly shouldn't lump Switzerland in together with the other countries appearing in that list.
Regards,
Steyn’s threatening comment may indeed be correct, but the fault lines aren’t Moslem to infidel. The fault lines of civilization fracturing are conservative civilization based on Greco-Judeo-Christian values versus Babylonian Pagan Moslem civilization based on narcissism, self-centeredness and ignorance as illustrated in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

I did; no reference there.

Sorry. Take it up with Mark Steyn.
