The blueprint details how as many as 800,000 German, U.S. and other NATO troops would be ferried eastward toward the front line. It maps the ports, rivers, railways and roads they would travel, and how they would be supplied and protected on the way.

In 1917 Russia beat Russia, Germany was just the grateful recipient of the benefits of that Bolshevik revolution.
One could be forgiven for thinking that after 1914-1919 and 1939-45, Germany’s planners might have learnt something, but it appears otherwise.
In 1917 Russia beat Russia, Germany was just the grateful recipient of the benefits of that Bolshevik revolution.
Germany was lucky they weren’t taken over by the Bolsheviks.
Unfortunately, it took the Freikorps to stop it, and that became the core of the Nazi Party.
(Shhhhhhhh).
“How crazy is this... A nation that is actually preparing for war against a country controlled by man who worships Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini.
How dare they?”
You seem to be upset that we’re not going to help.
Everything is new again. Bell-bottoms should never be rediscovered though. Please. They get caught in my bicycle chain.
Every country’s military, including ours, makes warplans.
guys, your comments look like you went off on the title only, and didn’t read the article.
What does the article say?
It is a leaked document outlining Germany’s detailed preparations for a potential full-scale conflict with Russia within 6 to 10 years, escalating from the ongoing Ukraine war:
1. it assumes Russia could rebuild its military strength by 2029, potentially launching a NATO attack via the Suwalki Gap (a vulnerable Polish-Lithuanian corridor) by 2025–2029, aiming to seize Baltic states.
2. it is purely DEFENSIVE - what to do when the Russian federation invades.
3. it also focuses on Germany - evacuation of 1.5 million people from eastern German regions; deployment of 200,000 troops to the Baltics.
4. It considers Russia might test NATO’s Article 5 commitment by invading a Baltic state, prompting a rapid allied response. Germany positions itself as a logistics hub, not frontline combatant.
Jonty, E. Pluribus Unum , - this is about defending Germany’s heartland, not about east of Germany, leave alone Poland
Rev Wright, faithhopecharity — they do NOT want war, leave alone total war with the Russian federation
I would urge you guys to read the article before commenting on the title
Just a note - the Bolshevik revolution was the SECOND Russian revolution in 1917 (the October Revolution).
In March 1917 (February Revolution, Old Style calendar), the Tsar was overthrown. A liberal Provisional Government took power but continued the war against Germany. Throughout 1917 the Russian army disintegrated: massive desertions, mutinies, and collapse of discipline.
The October revolution was when the Bolshevik’s seized power with one of their central promises being immediate peace.
Germany defeated Russia on the Eastern Front in World War I (1918, via Brest-Litovsk).
The Russian Empire collapsed internally in 1917; Germany delivered the final military/diplomatic knockout blow to its Bolshevik successor state in early 1918.
The article reveals details of a classified 1,500-page German military document titled "Operational Plan for Escalation – Defence Case Germany," leaked and reported in November 2024. The plan, developed by the Bundeswehr (German armed forces), outlines a hypothetical scenario for a large-scale war with Russia erupting in the summer of 2025. It assumes Russia, after consolidating control over Ukraine, would rebuild its forces and launch a surprise invasion of NATO territory—specifically the Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia—within 24-48 hours
This is unequivocally a defensive plan by Germany. The document is explicitly framed as a response to an anticipated Russian invasion of NATO allies, with all strategies focused on territorial defense, alliance reinforcement, and survival measures rather than any proactive strikes or territorial expansion. Phrases like "defence case" in the title and descriptions of "repelling the aggressor" confirm its reactive nature, aligning with NATO's Article 5 collective defense obligations. There are no indications of offensive elements, such as preemptive attacks or plans to initiate hostilities.

Hmmm... Maybe they ought to make an effort to remember what happened the last time they tried to invade Russa...
However, this does not make Russia the "richest nation" overall. Natural resource estimates (undiscovered or unextracted reserves) are not the same as current economic wealth:
Russia's GDP (2024 est.): ~$2.2 trillion (11th globally).
This is below Germany, France and Italy INDIVIDUALLY
And i'm not even going to go to per capita GDP
Just sitting on mineral deposits would make Venezuela and the Democratic republic of Congo as filthy rich. And they aren't rich.

As to your "social program" -- Russia is very socialist - Russia operates a mix of federal and regional programs via the Social Fund of Russia (merging the former Pension and Social Insurance Funds since 2023). Key expenditures include child benefits (~$14 billion in 2025 for newborns/upbringing), disability/veteran support (monthly cash benefits for ~16.5 million people), and targeted aid for the vulnerable. Total social welfare spending is ~15-20% of the budget, funded by payroll taxes (e.g., 2.9% for cash benefits, 5.1% for medical) and general revenue
This is HIGHER than the EU's 12% of GDP
And as for Islam
the EU has 5% Mohammedans.
Russia has 11%
So yeah, they have the same problem.
Nope - the article talks about how Germany would defend itself from a Russian invasion.

Nay. This war is mainly the killing of Christians by the anti-Christians and, secondarily, the grabbing of Russian land and its minuscule minerals
Correct.
The Gerries here are more concerned with their own country.
The Baltics, Poland and Romania need to beef up their own defense - and they are doing this. Visegrad+Baltics+Finland need to not expect help from anyone else - it’s nice to have, but they need to plan strategic depth.
Their correct option is to be like Vietnam v/s China.
China has tried to conquer Vietnam for 2000 years. But the last time they tried in the 70s, they got a bloody nose
“This war is mainly the killing of Christians by the anti-Christians and”
How do you make that out?
