Former US Secretary of State John Kerry was knighted Wednesday by King Charles III, receiving England’s highest honor in a closed-door reception at Buckingham Palace.

Kerry, 81, was formally awarded the Knight Commander award of the Order of St. Michael and St. George, which is typically bestowed to recognize foreign diplomats and is the highest honor that a noncitizen of the United Kingdom can receive. The former Massachusetts senator received the honor for “services to tackling climate change.”

During the Biden administration, Kerry served as the US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate and pushed countries to phase out fossil fuels. In an interview with The Boston Globe, he criticized President Trump’s attacks on climate change and green energy initiatives.

Kerry has long been a proponent of climate change legislation, and fought back against Trump’s dismissal of such action during his first term as president. He told the Globe that he and King Charles are both committed to forming clean energy infrastructure and cutting carbon emissions.

This is like President Obama receiving the Nobel Peace prize for simply not being G.W. Bush or maybe arch-terrorist Arafart getting the same recognition.
Kerry deserves to be knighted by England’s most ineffective, effeminate King. It is appropriate that this weak-minded leader knights another weak minded pretend leader.

They deserve each other...

His “knighthood” is just as fake as his 3 Purple Hearts. I won’t call him “sir”.

Going forward, Kerry will now be addressed as “Your Pomposity”.

Yes, on a private jet spewing C02 across the hemisphere. I actually like to thank him for seeding the Earth with more plant food. The current amount of 4/100’s of a single percent is just not enough.

Kerry’s most noteworthy accomplishment is marrying the ultra-rich Teresa Heinz, heiress to the Heinz Foods fortune. Other than that, he is simply a laughable jerk.

No wonder England is being conquered.

I don't think he can handle it, but I hope I'm wrong and Prince William is up for the enormous challenges he faces.

Getting a knighthood for failing to accomplish goals that cannot be attained is epic.

It is just honorary and he can’t formally use the title sir unless he becomes a British citizen.

“The former Massachusetts senator received the honor for services to tackling climate change.” What a crock. So exactly what did he do? What country has gone off of fossil fuels? Last I heard Germany was ditching the so called “green energy” scam and going back to burning fossil fuels in their electrical generation plants. China is building more and more coal burning furnaces for their generators. Here in the U.S. we need to build many more power plants and we have hundreds of years of clean burning natural gas. We better get started soon. like now.
