In the latest episode of Parsing Immigration Policy, Jessica Vaughan, Director of Policy Studies, sits down with Mahvash Siddiqui, a U.S. Foreign Service officer, to discuss systemic fraud in the H-1B visa program. Speaking in her private capacity, Ms. Siddiqui shares firsthand experiences from her time as a consular officer in Chennai (Madras), India – one of the world’s largest H-1B visa-processing posts – where U.S. officials adjudicated thousands of nonimmigrant visas, including 220,000 H-1Bs and 140,000 H-4 visas for their family members in 2024 alone.
The episode highlights alarming patterns of fraud affecting the H-1B program, including forged degrees, falsified employment credentials, and the role of third-party staffing companies in bypassing the program’s original rationale of admitting skilled workers to meet temporary shortages. While the Trump administration implemented changes aimed at reorienting the program toward more qualified applicants, Siddiqui emphasizes that widespread political pressure and a very effective Indian lobby here in the U.S. have often undermined quality control.
The lady interviewed served under OBAMA.
What criteria is used by whom to decide which Indian fellows are “skilled workers”? How is this measured? If the true number of those admitted were known, we would all be shocked.
The Indian American lady interviewed said 85-90% of them are frauds.
The entire H1-B program is a fraud. It should not be any surprise that almost all of the participants have fraudulent credentials and justifications.
The H1-B was always about importing a class of indentured servants to lower wages in selected trades and professions.
Corporate executives want a workforce that is cheap, obedient, and disposable. And they want people who have no political recourse in the American system.
It requires continuous lies and deceptions from the sponsors to keep the American people tolerating this.

Temporary shortages.
Still, most people are unaware of the 5-alarm fire that is our public school system.
still seeing people with decades-long experience being forced to train their H-1B replacements...how is that justified?
It’s not. Except indentured servants make more money for the moneyed class.
End it, don’t mend it PERIOD.
Every job held by an h-1b visa holder could be done by an American. It’s a zero sum game. Every job stolen by h-1b is an opportunity lost by an American. White males hardest hit.
The numbers are shocking.
Please stop. We are talking about STEM and our best and brightest. You H-1b sluts like to muddy the waters with red herrings.
Do you make money off of h-1b visa recruiting and/or job head hunting?
I’m telling the simple truth.
I bet you haven’t dealt with the intellects of high school or college students recently.
I’d stop all immigration and expel all illegals.
The numbers are not shocking. They are lying to us. Both sides of the aisle. There are far more here than we realize. And they are destroying millions of American families.
End the entire stupid program.

What I mean is, we don’t know the real numbers.
