The ACLJ is taking decisive action after a New York school district exposed seventh-grade students to pornographic images under the guise of an “art lesson” – and then attempted to downplay what happened. The Watertown City School District didn’t just fail its duty to protect children; it violated the constitutional rights of parents and traumatized children. We are now demanding immediate accountability.
Our clients, Stephanie Boyanski and Jessy Roberts, were horrified to learn that their seventh-grade children were assigned to visit an unvetted website containing graphic sexual images as part of an art project. The teacher, Ms. Bridgette Gates, displayed these images on a Smart Board in class, acknowledged that “some images were inappropriate,” and then instructed students to “ignore them and be mature.”
She required these minors to continue the assignment anyway.

What is it going to take before parents take their kids out of government run schools?
Elimination of government run schools.

SEVENTH grade folks.
Parents have more to do with this than Netflix.
If parents gave a damn, the state couldn’t do this to their kids.

One of my favorite albums.
I had to see a bunch of Renaissance paintings in one of my classes. They definitely showed some women upper parts.
For maybe the last 20, I have been hearing about teachers behaving in sexually inappropriate ways with their students.
It has always happened at some level, but it used to be something quite rare and shocking.
I have often wondered if there is something included in the training of new teachers that promotes or at least rationalizes those teacher to student relationships?
How can it be that thousands of young teachers seem willing if not eager to ruin their professional reputation, throw all their education away. sometimes throw their marriage away too. for this kind of deliberate act?
Seeing a painting like “The Birth of Venus” by Sandro Botecelli is a lot different from having the class assigned to look on Only Fans for their next book report.
Watertown?
Ms. Bridgette Gates deserves the winter she’s about to receive.
Nudity without sexual overtones has been a part of art for thousands of years. Nudity in itself is no big deal in other parts of the world. Over 50 years ago when stationed in Germany I remember going to a night club and they only had unisex restrooms. It was no big deal, huge restroom with urinals and stalls with an attendant. Women went in the stalls and did their thing and men used the urinals. Too many perverted Americans equate bathrooms with sex, not so in other parts of the world.
So, is it “Soon you will be a teen” or “Soon you will be 18”?
It seems most of these problems in the schools are by female teachers. They are living their sexual fantasies through their students. They don’t care what it will do to the kids but I bet they get off on seeing their students reaction!
I think you know what I mean
Absolutely true. We’re very puritanical in this country.

Genitally-fixated Watertown teacher placed on leave over sexually explicit art
Allegedly sent students a link to a website that includes sexually explicit images
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A source tells 7 News that a Watertown art teacher is on administrative leave after sending students a link to a website that includes sexually explicit artwork. “It’s almost unbelievable,” said Stephanie Boyanski, a parent of one of the students. “It’s almost criminal,” said Heather Trainham, another parent.
Case Middle School students were learning about artist and activist Keith Haring, known for his pop art style and social activism on issues like AIDS. A group of parents of 7th grade students was shocked to see what their kids were able to swipe through on their Chromebooks via a link sent out by their art teacher. The link to the Keith Haring Foundation website includes photos of his art, including his interpretation of sex acts. One work depicts the dismemberment of a penis.
The lesson itself wasn’t directed at the specific images, but parents say the teacher told students they may see inappropriate material, and to ignore it.Parents say it was a red flag for their kids, most of whom are 11 and 12. “He knew it was inappropriate, but he wasn’t sure if he should speak out or not, because they’re of authority,” said parent Jessy Roberts. “The kids had to view these images to get to other images they could use for their project and their sketches, so there was no way around for these kids not to view these images,” said Boyanski. The parents went to the school, and an hour later, the site was restricted.
On Wednesday, the school sent a message to the parents of students in the class, saying the district has received reports that some students came across inappropriate images as a result of the assignment, and wrote that the issue is being fully investigated. “I think it kind of puts more of the kids at fault, like they accidentally stumbled upon it, but they didn’t. They were given the assignment. They were given the link to go to it,” said Roberts.
The Keith Haring Foundation website provides lesson plans for teachers across the country, some divided by grade. The website says, “Please use your own discretion as to what seems age-appropriate for your specific audience.” We reached out to the school for more information, but didn’t hear back.

From the story this wasn’t just a bunch of naked statues and paintings, it was graphic sexual content.
It apparently wasn’t the type of nude art you find in a typical museum.
Doxing this perverted teacher mecilessly is the only way to discipline her. The school board will do nothing and the union will protect her. Make her miserable life even more miserable.
