WINDHAM, Maine—Senate candidate Graham Platner (D.) urged his supporters to publicly harass members of Maine’s congressional delegation who oppose Medicare for All.
“In the future, when we’re trying to vote on something like Medicare for All, if there are other members of the Maine delegation that don’t want to come along, we need to be able to impose costs,” he said during a Saturday town hall in the southern Maine town of Windham. “We need to be able to turn people out to flood their offices. Frankly, I want people to follow them around and don’t let them have a public dinner without getting yelled at. Because that’s power. That’s real power.”
Platner justified those tactics as a way of building “secondary power.” He said they’re a proven form of political pressure and that “American history tells us that that’s exactly the power that we have.”

So now we go to mob rule and violence to get what we want? Please tell me how we are going to avoid a civil war and an eventual dictator. If such were done to Platner, almost certainly he WOULD incite violence to get the harrassment to stop.

Janet Mills ought to be the favorite in the Rat primary, but if she is it's not by much. One ludicrous poll had her down to Platner by 34 points; that poll must have been taken either on a college campus or in a media newsroom. The geriatric Mills (age 77) started her campaign by refusing to release her medical records, while Platner is suddenly raising million of dollars from the type of people who think that the 2025 election results are a referendum in favor of killing Republicans. It's going to be quite a battle unless Mills bows out or Platner is dragged down by his past (and present). Democrat voters forgave the murderous racist [Jay Jones] in Virginia two weeks ago; Maine Democrats aren't likely to abandon any candidate no matter how much of a lunatic he may be -- as long as they think he can win next November.

This type of “pack” behavior has been around long before 2017. This has been the type of action against what they don’t want to happen for over 100 years, at least. Two things have always been consistent with it:
Say anything you want to the media whether it’s the truth or not and then deny you said it,
or
If you can’t attack the topic, attack the messenger.

The left continuously telegraphs its inability to debate and tacitly admits that it is resorting to force because that’s all they have. They’re ideologically bankrupt. Trying to talk to them is futile.
