The United States has threatened to cut intelligence sharing and weapons supplies for Ukraine to press it into agreeing to the framework of a U.S.-brokered peace deal, two people familiar with the matter said.
Washington has presented Ukraine with a 28-point plan, which endorses some of Russia's principal demands in the war, including that Kyiv cede additional territory, curb the size of its military and be barred from joining NATO.
The sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Kyiv was under greater pressure from Washington than during any previous peace discussions, and that the U.S. wanted Ukraine to sign a framework of the deal by next Thursday.
A delegation of senior U.S. military officials met with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Kyiv on Thursday. The U.S. ambassador in Ukraine and the army public affairs chief travelling with the delegation described the meeting as a success and said Washington sought an "aggressive timeline" for the signature of a document between the U.S. and Ukraine.

Sound like Russian propaganda...oh Reuters. Never mind.

Finally. Trump is winning me back on here. He’s been totally slumping on America First lately.
There is a perspective out there that this constitutes Ukraine surrender.
The other perspective is this is the best it will get. They can hang on and go longer and lose more territory especially in the south. If you look at the details of the plan the line of contact determines territory in the south as opposed to the entirety of the oblasts in the North. As that line of contact moves, Ukraine loses more and more, particularly Odessa.
The really big sticking point in the overall plan could very well evolve to have nothing to do with territory. The plan says that the $100 billion in frozen Russian assets will get used by the United States to rebuild. But that particular paragraph also specifies that the EU must ante up an additional $100 billion. If it does not the plan would fail. I would presume that this would be arranged so that those Russian assets that are frozen will be moved out of Euroclear to a US holding escrow. If then Europe does not ante up the required 100 billion, the United States could return those frozen assets to Russia. This would overall force Europe to come up with the money.
It might be Witkoff that deserves the Nobel Peace prize. This guy has been working on this with the Russian sovereign wealth fund guy since February, as opposed to Kellogg who has spent all of that time traveling to Ukraine to secure more grants for his daughter..
“The plan says that the $100 billion in frozen Russian assets will get used by the United States to rebuild.”
The Russians will want every dollar/Euro/pound of their money back, with interest/earnings.
At $40,000/year, paying 700,000 soldiers comes to $28 billion/year.
At $1,000/each, $100 billion would buy 100 million dumb artillery shells.
Printed by the Russian Central Bank. Or with the differential in oil exports from sanctions ending (somehow that is not appearing in some of these synopsis articles) over what, 14 months?
Oil is everything. Money gets created from nothingness by central banks.
Long overdue to cut off intel and long range missiles.
Z should take the deal.
Donbass voted to join russia.no loss to ukes.
If the deal allows UK/France to send troops to uke, then this will be a nonstarter.
I’m not trusting media reports but hope some is true so we can end this proxy war on russia.
Hey, we pushed them into a war, so by golly we can push them inti surrender too!
That’s what meddlers do.
