LMPD has a rep for sh1t like this and not owning up to it later and getting sued. The brass did nothing and now that the despotic female officer is gone they really don't give a damn - not their problem.
IMO, LMPD pretty much deserves the bad press it gets, and decades of exclusive democrat rule of the city has a lot to do with it.

Except under the influence of a shit culture that produces hoards of illiterate and un-articulate citizens. Citizens that are barely employable and who cannot complete coherent thoughts. That being said the officers conduct including her chain of command is unacceptable.
DEI hire and then two women butt heads on the side of the road and the innocent woman goes to jail. Hoping for a very large settlement.
Why hasn’t this officer been charged with falsifying a police report/ fined and/or fired? What a disgrace, making the last few months of this woman’s life into a needless battle of accusations and slander.
Why would you ask about Bell’s Palcy? Curious.

This kind of stuff came out in TN recently that hundreds of people were jailed for DUI for no reason.
The Tennessee DUI scandal has raised significant concerns about the state’s law enforcement practices. Investigations have revealed that over 600 individuals have been arrested for DUI despite being completely sober. This includes drivers who had no alcohol or drugs in their systems, leading to wrongful charges and legal consequences. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has processed roughly 15,000 DUI tests annually, with a third indicating no alcohol in the system. The scandal has also highlighted the impact of sober DUI arrests on the lives of those affected, as they face long-lasting repercussions.
“Boyd, a 44-year-old mother of five, died in May of this year from complications from high blood pressure. Her family believes the stress of her arrest and the lawsuit contributed to her death and would like an apology from police.”
I’m predicting a largish judgement against the city.
She didn’t falsify anything. This is a little known quirk of DUI law.
“Implied Consent” (an entire issue by itself) means motorists must take a Breathalyzer test. A driver cannot refuse this. Well - they can, but they lose their driver license.
The Field Sobriety - walk a straight line, recite the alphabet backwards while standing on your head and the rest of it, is not required per se.
They don’t want you to know that. The way it works, and they know how to spot a drunk, is failing these tests like Nystagmus gives probable cause for blood testing or Breathalyzer. That’s what nails you technically.
But! As she discovered, if the officer says in his judgment you failed the sobriety test, you get a DUI, regardless of BAC. Usually a good cop can eyeball someone’s BAC within a couple percentage points. They are very good at what they do. This lady got some wack job. Never consent to a “field sobriety” test whether you drink or not.
That's one way for the cops to avoid a lawsuit.
Never ever agree to a field sobriety test. Nobody ever passes.
Wrongful Arrest and/or affiliated charges.
The family should get seven figures, and see [formerly] influential heads roll out the doors of LMPD.
Back In The Day, tar and feathers would’ve been SOP.
Different states have different laws. In CO, refusing a roadside test means loss of driver license for a year. (last I checked..)

Sadly, it was in a Seinfeld episode where there was a gentleman who was presumed to be a drunk but he had Bell’s Palsy.
You have no evidence she was solely a DEI hire. You just assume it.
You mean like these tests.
