Landmark Paris Agreement set a path to slow warming. The world hasn’t stayed on it
The Associated Press ^ | November 9, 2025 | BY SETH BORENSTEIN (D-AP)

BELEM, Brazil (AP) — The world has changed dramatically in the decade since leaders celebrated a historic climate agreement in Paris a decade ago, but not quite in ways they expected or wanted.

Earth’s warming climate has gotten nastier faster than society has been able to wean itself from burning the coal, oil and natural gas that emits carbon pollution that triggers global warming, several scientists and officials said.

There’s been progress — more than a degree Celsius (2 degrees Fahrenheit) has been shaved off future warming projections since 2015 — but the lack of enough of it will be a big focus for the next two weeks as diplomats gather in Belem, Brazil, for annual United Nations climate negotiations.

“I think it’s important that we’re honest with the world and we declare failure,” said Johan Rockstrom, director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Research in Germany. He said warming’s harms are happening faster and more severely than scientists predicted.

But diplomats aren’t giving up.

“The Paris Agreement itself has underperformed,” said climate negotiations historian Joanna Depledge of the University of Cambridge in England. “Unfortunately, it is one of those half-full, half-empty situations where you can’t say it’s failed. But then nor can you say it’s dramatically succeeded.”

Whenever the MSM wrings it’s hands over “the world,” I picture a picture of the blue Earth, with latitude and longitude lines, and with a scowling face with angry eyes.

I do not find climate models developed by nutcase
“ecologists” very compelling. The Earth has
been much warmer in the past, it has also
been much colder, all independent of man.
One thing we do that can be fixed is pollution.
That does not change climate.

Anyone who speaks about "the world" in some sense related to government policies is a GLOBALIST.

Everyone will do as "we" say, usually followed by "or else."

Associated Press, The Guardian Bias Ratings Moved from Lean Left to Left

https://www.allsides.com/blog/associated-press-guardian-bias-ratings-moved-lean-left-left

AP Bias Rating Moved from Lean Left to Left

The Associated Press’ bias deserves a high amount of scrutiny because it is the largest wire srvice in the world. Founded in 1846, AP was historically considered the gold standard of objective journalism. However, news media has undergone major shifts in the last 10 years or so, and AllSides has observed a trend of AP content moving farther to the left.

Overall, the Associated Press’ bias rating was moved from Lean Left (-1.3) to Left (-3.1) following the results of an AllSides Editorial Review and the results of the Oct. 2024 Blind Bias Survey. In the survey, 707 Americans rated AP as Left (-3.72) on average.

Month to month, AllSides bias panelists review hundreds of articles that are published as part of AP wire content for bias audit clients that rely on AP as well as news content that runs on apnews.org. The Editorial Review panel found types of bias in AP including story choice bias, subjective qualifiers, slant, emotionalism, analysis presented as fact, sensationalism, and bias by viewpoint. The panel agreed that “AP does not help the reader to understand conservatives and justifies the left perspective more often.”

You can view detailed results of our AP Editorial Review — including sample articles we reviewed and more comments from reviewers — on the AP source page. https://www.allsides.com/news-source/associated-press-media-bias#Nov2024

In the blind survey, respondents who rated their own bias as Left, Center, Lean Right, or Right, rated Associated Press as Left, on average; only respondents with a Lean Left bias rated Associated Press as Lean Left, on average. Independents and Republicans rated Associated Press as Left, while Democrats saw Associated Press as Lean Left.

Hey AP, neither you and the pretend ‘scientists’ that you worship are close friends with real science. Hmmm, actually you and your lot are not even distant friends with any kind of science.

Stick to the imaginary lives that you all know and believe in. And stay away from complex machinery - like wedges and screwdrivers.
