A Democrat trans activist has won the mayoral race in Downingtown, PA, a small town of about 9,000 people in Chester County, west of Philadelphia. Deuso defeated Republican Richard Bryant.
Erica Deuso, who is openly transgender, had recently suggested armed violence against the federal government after footage came out of illegal immigrants being detained.
“Tonight, the numbers are clear,” Deuso stated early Wednesday morning, according to WHYY. “We won. Voters chose hope, decency, and a community where every neighbor matters. I am honored to be elected as Pennsylvania’s first openly transgender mayor. I carry that responsibility with care and with purpose.”
Deuso previously posted on X “I foresee violent pushback from an armed citizenry in the future. The 2nd amendment folx were very clear that weapons are meant to oppose a tyrannical government…,” in reply to an image of someone in handcuffs which Homeland Security posted, with the phrase “Gotta Catch ‘Em All.”
This, while on Deuso's campaign website, it reads “As mayor, I will prioritize public safety by supporting our police while also expanding resources for mental health, domestic violence response and community resilience. True safety isn’t just about responding to emergencies, it’s about preventing them.”
Deuso’s X profile includes process efficiency expert, champion of fair labor, education, gender equality, and LGBTQ+ Rights (she/her).
In a post late last night, Deuso thanked the community for their record turnout and incredible civic spirit. Organizational endorsements include Planned Parenthood, LGBTQ+ victory fund, Her Bold Move, Secular Democrats of Pennsylvania and Moms Demand Action Gun Sense.
Election Day saw issues at polling places in Chester County. Many Independent voters had to cast provisional ballots, as poll books did not have their names listed. Voting hours were extended to 10 pm.

I wonder just how many of those “provisional” ballots were actually counted. Did any of them avoid the trashcan?
Regarding Dem men who are fleeing, I have spoken to more than several who say that the party has become too extreme, even for previously tolerant, liberal types. They are fleeing this:
My guess is that someone decided the election wasn’t close enough to justify the time and effort required to verify the “provisional” ballots. I wonder who (or what) made that decision?
The term for such talk is “SOCHASTIC” violence.

NYC happened the way everyone thought it would and that is unfortunate. But for VA , NJ and CA, and that mayoral race in PA? These off season elections never draw a crowd. ‘26 and ‘28 will, however.
