The Atlantic is not exactly a conservative publication.

I posted this last night: I think Mamdani will soon find out that, while it was fun being a figurehead campaigning and preaching to adoring crowds about free grocery stores, it's not so much fun dealing with garbage collection, snow-plowing snafus, angry unionists, dissension within city government ranks, angry citizens and other
actual-Mayor stuff. He's definitely got an ego monstrous enough to soon decide that doing the actual job is "beneath" him.
Damn Atlantic's been readin' my mail! :)

IMHO the Atlantic is preemptively excusing MadMani’s inevitable failures. To the MSM, MadMani the candidate is a champion, but MadMani the mayor is a Trump victim.

I cannot wait for the removal of that ‘golden’ bull of Wall Street... Who gives a hoot what the Atlantic has to say ... they are lunatics.. on the big scale...

it's not so much fun dealing with garbage collection, snow-plowing snafus, angry unionists, dissension within city government ranks, angry citizens and other actual-Mayor stuff. Not to worry. For any and all problems, he will blame President Trump, racism, capitalism, Islamophobia, and President Trump again.

With only 50.4% of the vote the half of NYC that did not vote for the “Socialist” will need a sense of humor as they wait for all the freebies to appear. I’ve got plenty of popcorn for the farce that is about to unfold...

Congratulations. You just violated the Free Republic consent decree.
That’s why OPs don’t post paywall-bypassed versions of articles.

He’s got worldwide allies monstrous enough to change civilization. Iran has a fatwa fundraiser to kill President Trump that has raised over $40 million.

He will charm the young kids with endless tik toks. He will encourage mostly peaceful protests. He will attack Trump everyday. He will never be held accountable and most likely end up Governor.

He ain’t going to be dealing with any of that stuff. His mission is to finish the Cloward-Piven job of overwhelming the system.

Mamdani will also face a challenge unique to him: a brewing war with the president of the United States, himself a New Yorker
That's a war which Mamdani has absolutely no chance to win.
Mamdani starts out challenging Trump, and will end up with a few bunker buster bombs disintegrating his bolstering.

Mamdani is like a dog that chases cars all his life. When he finally catches one, what does he do with it?

He is the epitome of the empty headed mentally ill dopes that protested in 2020. They think they got their man and will soon find out that he is not who he says he is. Elections have consequences and they will soon find out. Sadly it pulls everyone else down the shi###er with them

The drain of wealth within the city will cause him thehis biggest problem. The rich are nnot going to stand for heavy taxation upon them, but heavy taxation is the only way he can even begin to even attempt to deliver his campaign promises.

Let’s see what this Marxist cretin does when big money and cops flee NYC for red states.

I don’t know if Mamdani will make it to governor. But I think you’re on the right track.
Mamdani is a hip, young Muslim Bill Clinton. All Mamdani needs is a bit of cover from the mainstream media. And he’ll get it.
