Texas voters on Tuesday evening overwhelmingly passed a ballot measure to change the state constitution to bar non-citizens from voting in its elections.
The Associated Press projected the proposition to pass, with 74.9% of voters backing the plan and 25.1% opposing it as of press time. Sixty-four percent of precincts had reported their votes.
As it should be.
Good old TX gets deeper red.
A glimmer of hope has been noted.
Despite Austin, Dallas, Houston, and El Paso, Texas is the last bastion of freedom in our Constitutional Republic.
I agree but Proposition Q failed overwhelmingly. It was the largest tax increase in Austin’s history!
Isn’t that good? Prop Q went down in flames.
You think Maybe a small bit of sanity I
has come to Austin
Or is it just a NIMBY?
Let the money come from other people?
I hope you are right
I’m waiting for a judge in Hawaii to rule that Texas voters cannot vote to change the Texas state Constitution in this way. It’s a threat to Our Democracy.
It should have barred anybody moving from the Communist blue states.
Welcome to Texas. NOW GO HOME!
i thought it’s already illegal?
“25.1% opposing it”
That many illegal aliens in Texas!
Funny, I feel like we’re getting far more third world.
Amazing how this even had to be on the ballot.
Up next, a Cuban born Obama judge throws out the law.
As of November 2025, the estimated unauthorized immigrant population in Texas is approximately 2.1 million people. The legal and policy landscape surrounding “illegal aliens” in Texas is complex and evolving, with ongoing legal battles over state-level enforcement measures, particularly the controversial Senate Bill 4 (SB 4)
Time to reorder new Don’t Mess With Texas t-shirt.
Salute! To the Texas voters. Well done.
