Dick Cheney, widely regarded as the most powerful vice president in American history, who was George W. Bush’s running mate in two successful campaigns for the presidency and his most influential White House adviser in an era of terrorism, war and economic change, died Monday. He was 84.
The cause was complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease, according to a statement from his family.

War Hawk and Neo-Con
The hate he had for Trump kept him warm in WY. Now he feels a different heat. Also, daddy-issues Liz is hurt. Good.
TDS finally caught up to him……. Maybe they can study his brain for future treatments.
Good...bye, dick.
Only 84?
I had no idea he was only ten years older than me… he seemed like such an old man 25 years ago - at 59!
His anti-Trump rantings were so over the top and false that he dies as a disgraced man.
Well, bye.
Well, bye.
Is Cheney now universally reviled?
Daddy always said if you can’t say something nice ....... ......... .......... ............. ........
Good...bye, dick.”

Post of the day!!!
Not shedding a tear this morning!
Daddy left Liz a lot of stock in the weapons industry.
She will never be poor, she will never again be in politics. She shot herself in the foot, from hate of Trump.
She will never tell the Truth. There is a price with that.
The TDS killed him. RIP - A better VP than many including the one previous to JD.
Those who don't believe cannot possible understand and handle the reins of government and must be eliminated from government.
Don’t know how he got so off track. My guess is that he got his war hormones back when it was fashionable to actually win a war and did not adjust to the new reality of losing wars and killing our boys for no good reason.
In any event, he was a highly accomplished guy.
Sadly, his daughter has ruined his legacy and reputation. She shit on everything one would have expected from him and, of course like any parent, he had to back her up.
Small short family funeral would be best in WY.
It’s not unreasonable to have disagreements with Trump, but Cheney went all in on TDS. Voting for Harris in 2024 ruined any shred of respect he might have gotten from any conservative.
Dick Cheney has a long life and was influential in politics from the 1970s through the 2000s. We should not judge his life based just on his last years. Yes, he was anti-Trump and was a war hawk to the point of recklessness. But he was a solid conservative on most domestic issues and was the consummate manager when it came to advising presidents from Nixon to Bush II. His is a life worth studying for its good and its bad.
