Most Americans expect political violence to keep growing in the United States and believe that it is likely a political candidate will be assassinated in the next few years.
Widespread pessimism about political violence is a rare, grim point of consensus in a country riven by political and cultural divisions.
A majority of Americans, 55 percent, expect political violence to increase, according to a new poll from POLITICO and Public First. That figure underscores just how much the spate of attacks — from the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk earlier this year to the attempts on President Donald Trump’s life in 2024 — have rattled the nation.
It’s a view held by majorities of Americans all across lines like gender, age, party affiliation and level of education, though Democrats and older voters expressed particular concern.

They killed Charlie Kirk, then they tried to tar his name, his wife , his family. They cheered his MURDER by a woke furry trans freak.
Arm your selves, they have thrown down the gauntlet and have sworn they will make America and Americans bow down to their sick political world view. If we don't we will be round up and detained, beaten and killed.
Arm your selves, be ready and when one of these barely human monsters try to attack you or your family or friends; let them be met by a hail of bullets fired in self defense.
Just look at the news, pick a channel; it's there every hour, every day, every week, they hate you, they hate your family, they hate your kids and they even hate your pets. Even the oily dirty politicians have striped the mask of lies from their faces and are screaming for bloodshed and the death of the innocents.
the left doesn’t have any warriors because they chased them all away. but they do have plenty of assassins and murderers thieves and rioters. that’s why they’re so friendly to criminals.
So if we don't deprive ourselves by digging into our pockets to fund their excessive demands, they'll take our money by force and our lives too if it pleases them.

The escalation from the left is inevitable. It’s all they’ve got. The real danger of course, is then using this as a false flag type of situation to justify encroaching on rights.
Remember, after the failed assassination attempt on Margaret and some of her cabinet (Brighton Hotel bombing, 1984), the statement from the IRA was, “Today, we were unlucky. But remember, we only have to be lucky once — you have to be lucky always.”

This really exposes how the Left has no principle other than them getting their way, even if they need to resort to violence to get it. And the entire Leftwing media establishment and Dem party excuses or even supports the violence to achieve the Woke/Socialist/Leftist agenda. And how many years did we hear the media, Dems and Leftists sanctimoniously claim that January 6 was evidence of the right wing mob violence and insurrection even when the J6 participants didn’t do anything remotely as bad as what the Left is doing?
That, accept it or not, is the bottom line. Before we (our politicians) can stop "digging into our pockets to fund their excessive demands", we must find the courage to recognize and name the threat.
I.e., "Courage" as in no more bailing out Americans who mindlessly vote for the anti-MAGA experiments of the Leftists and their allies.
The Left and its allies have a long and clear record of conducting warfare from behind the cover of innocent civilians, and it can be argued that is exactly what we face with the newly constituted progressive Democrats.
This is a big part of why 30 years later when FDR re-named progressivism as "liberalism" during his first prez run the result is that the word "libertarian" was essentially unguarded. There were some anarchists who still clung to the old word but not enough of them as they went with the crowd to the new and shiny "liberal" moniker.
This led to Murray Rothbard being able to capture that word. It's an interesting bit of historical commentary that doesn't get nearly the recognition it deserves. All of this stealing of words and the problems it causes for us to this day.
Murry Rothbard wrote about his successful theft of the word "Libertarian" from the anarchists, in his "The Betrayal of the American Right" on page 83.
"One gratifying aspect of our rise to some prominence is that, for the first time in my memory, we, "our side," had captured a crucial word from the enemy. Other words, such as "liberal," had been originally identified with laissez-faire libertarians, but had been captured by left-wing statists, forcing us in the 1940s to call ourselves rather feebly "true" or "classical" liberals. "Libertarians"’, in contrast, had long been simply a polite word for left-wing anarchists, that is for anti-private property anarchists, either of the communist or syndicalist variety. But now we had taken it over, and more properly from the view of etymology; since we were proponents of individual liberty and therefore of the individual's right to his property."
Rothbard says it about as plainly as it could be said: "I am a word thief."
There are, even now in 2025, anarchists who refuse to abandon the word "Libertarian". They didn't get the message. They got smoked by Rothbard, and possession is 9/10ths of the law.
They keep promising us this leftwing violence, but out here in rural Missouri we haven’t seen a lick of it.
Even if Marxists had an off switch, are there any Democrat leaders currently using it? The whole party deserves to be disbanded as homegrown terrorists. They Antifa are the climate activists, who are also the abortion army, who are also the Alaphabet soldiers, who are also AFT activists. It is all the same malcontents. They just slide from issue to issue. There is no such thing as a single issue Marxist.
Unfortunately, no it is not. These people deliberately have been conditioned to be insatiable. There will never be an end to their demands.
THAT is what Americans need to know in order to choose the courage to deal with the consequent reaction and not to placate them. Continued deprivation to the point of crisis is the only cure.

I'm in rural TN, and I've not seen it either. However, make no mistake, they are coming for us all - through confiscatory taxes if nothing else.
