Andrew Cuomo, Curtis Sliwa closing gap on socialist Zohran Mamdani in latest NYC mayoral election poll

Radical socialist Zohran Mamdani’s lead over Andrew Cuomo has narrowed to just 6.6 points — the slimmest edge he’s held since July, according to a stunning new poll out Saturday.

The new AtlasIntel survey has Democratic candidate Mamdani leading the field with 40.6%, and the former New York governor, a registered Democrat running as an independent, clawing up to 34% just days before Tuesday’s election.

“The gap is closing fast — we can feel it on the ground everywhere from the Bronx to Staten Island. At this rate, we win the race. Keep going strong,” Cuomo said.

“Six points in this election is nothing,” the former governor later told reporters while campaigning Saturday in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

He also said New Yorkers have done a good job educating themselves about Mamdani’s pie-in-the-sky campaign promises – including free bus service and city-run grocery stores — that the Democratic nominee wouldn’t have the power to deliver if elected mayor.

The Trump-hating douchebag Sliwa is far too vain to do that.

Sliwa needs to drop out, sadly.

Most of his voters would just stay home - they aren't going to switch to a proven disaster like Cuomo.

People don’t have to vote for Sliwa if they don’t want to.

imho, the trailing (third) candidate really really needs to step aside if the Islamicist is to be defeated

divide and conquer works, sorry to have to say

Imho, the candidate who already lost once to Mamdani in this election cycle needs to drop out instead of coming back as a spoiler.

RE: The Trump-hating douchebag Sliwa is far too vain to do that

To say that Sliwa hates Trump is an overstatement. While Curtis Sliwa is a Republican and has run for office in New York City, he and President Trump have had a long-standing love/hate relationship. Trump has refused to endorse Sliwa in his mayoral campaigns, even mocking him publicly—particularly over Sliwa’s well-known love of cats and his plan to house them in Gracie Mansion.

Sliwa, for his part, has tried to soften his stance toward Trump in public debates, but he’s also made it clear that they disagree on key issues, such as immigration enforcement. Sliwa STILL supports deporting criminals but has distanced himself from broader Trump-era immigration policies.

If you’re trying to assess how Sliwa might govern in relation to Trump, the clearest takeaway is this: he’s running as a Republican, but not as a Trump Republican. He agrees with Trump on many of his national policies, but believes that local policies are the job of the Mayor, not the President. He’ll cooperate with Trump when needed but keeps his distance.

So, while Curtis Sliwa maintains a wary distance from Donald Trump, Andrew Cuomo adopts a strategic opposition stance, and Zohran Mamdani is openly defiant and adversarial. He’s still the best of the three when it comes to working with the President in my view.

That’s not HATE, the way I see it.

Speaking of Trump and sliwa in the same breath is like discussing an eagle and a worm. I won’t waste any more words on the arrogant little creep.

New York City does not have good choices, only the least palatable one. In this case, it happens to be Curtis Sliwa IMHO.
