Gov. Kathy Hochul bizarrely tried to run interference on the embarrassing “tax the rich” chants she was heckled with at Zohran Mamdani‘s rally — claiming Monday she thought it was a pro-Buffalo Bills chorus.
“I thought they were saying ‘Let’s go Bills,’” she said when pressed by a Post reporter over the anti-fat cat chant.
“I wasn’t sure… I heard some noise, I heard a lot of cheers. But later on it became clear to me, I know there is a passion for that.”
The Democratic governor’s appearance Sunday at the “New York is Not For Sale” rally at Forest Hills stadium – which featured lefty superstars Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders drumming up support for Mamdani – highlighted an uncomfortable divide in the party.
Hochul endorsed the democratic socialist Mamdani as New York City’s next mayor despite her concerns about his tax-the-rich policies.

What’s so embarrassing about a tax the rich chant? Isn’t that the centerpiece of Zoltar’s campaign?
Hochul’s nonsense would be as preposterous as our accepting that the chants were “Let’s Go Brandon.”
“Tax the Rich” by a mob of foaming at the mouth anti-Americans who want to overthrow our constitutional republic with a Communist “democracy” (mob rule) does not sound like a Bills chant. To anyone.
Hochul has no character and no courage or integrity. She is a Dem politician, but I repeat myself.
Hochul and Hakeem among others sell out their constituents for personal gain as always. Instead of saying “I accept we have differences in this party but I must stand with a more moderate position to represent the people whom I serve.” they both developed wobbly knees.
Like the Soviet and Chinese leaders who want to be viewed standing beside the fearless dictator leader on the balcony, they gave in, meekly.
The old Soviet balcony scenes used to be airbrushed to the next publication of the photos would have an empty space for any traitors or dissidents who had “disappeared.” They even sent agents to all the libraries to have the names of opponents cut from the reference books. Today that’s done by computers. The BLM attack on the American nuclear family was deleted from its website opening page after criticism got too strong.

First of all, she’s full of crap. She knew what they were chanting. Secondly, how much is she worth monetarily.
Hochul + her husband’s household income is around $1 mil per year when just their salaries are counted. Total net worth, $12 mil. Her hubby is a lawyer specializing in white collar defense. If the commie she endorsed and his crazed comrades had their druthers, their heads would be on pikes.
Buffalo, home to that spiffy new NFL stadium costing NYS taxpayers $800 mil, is $54 mil in the hole and is begging Hochul to hit up state taxpayers for a bailout.
