From 2021 to 2024, FEMA employees cited political reasons for bypassing disaster survivors
WASHINGTON – An internal investigation by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) found that throughout the Biden Administration, FEMA employees systematically refused to visit the houses of disaster survivors that displayed signs and flags they disagreed with, including those with campaign signs supporting President Trump—textbook political discrimination against Americans in crisis.
FEMA employees also collected information about the political beliefs of disaster survivors, using that information to delay critical assistance to survivors. This data collection was in direct violation of the Privacy Act of 1974.
“The federal government was withholding aid against Americans in crisis based on their political beliefs—this should horrify every American, regardless of political persuasion,” said DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. “For years, FEMA employees under the Biden Administration intentionally delayed much-needed aid to Americans suffering from natural disasters on purely political grounds. They deliberately avoided houses displaying support for President Trump and the Second Amendment, illegally collected and stored information about survivors’ political beliefs, and failed to report their malicious behavior. We will not let this stand.”
Following Hurricane Milton in 2024, a whistleblower revealed that FEMA employees were directed to bypass homes displaying political signs supporting President Donald Trump. At the time, Biden’s FEMA administrator, Deanne Criswell, insisted to Congress, under oath, that this was an isolated incident. However, an internal investigation ordered by Secretary Noem has revealed that these abuses were widespread, systematic, and occurred during multiple disasters dating back to Hurricane Ida in 2021.
To ensure this never happens again, Secretary Noem has implemented the following corrective actions:

AutoPen stooges...
A lot of what the Biden Administration did is disturbing, but this, to me, is one of the most disturbing that they did. The level of vindictiveness that has to accompany refusing to help disaster victims based on who they vote for crosses the line from pettiness to pure evil on a large scale. And its not just one or two people - a massive number of government workers had to participate willingly in this.
New Jersey’s PSE&G was doing this exact thing—this very evil thing—at least as early as 2013.
More specifically, they did it to wrong-party (i.e., Republican) New Jersey homeowners in the immediate aftermath of Superstore Sandy.
In October 2013.
Right under the nose of a Pubbie governor (Chris Christie).
Who knew? It was a stealth policy.
They’d treat us just like Stalin treated the Ukrainians if they ever got the chance.

I think this was in Florida, but there is no doubt in my mind that Biden’s FEMA withheld aid from western North Carolina in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
Every single FEMA employee, contractor employee and contractor company who participated in this illegal act should be prohibited from ever working with state of federal government immediately and prosecuted.
Book ‘em, Dano.
Tell me again why EVER voting for ANY democrat is a good thing...?
As a rule:
The conservative will disagree, but let opposing views and voices speak (freedom of speech). The libtard censors.
The conservative will debate and stand their ground on the issues, but he would never use it as a reason to deny care, discriminate in the distribution of resources, etc.
You see in our small microcosm (our personal lives). Ever notice how a libtard cannot have friends unless they agree with them? They can't date anyone that's a different political persuasion...
They are the most bigoted people I know, and they like to use that word a lot. But I don't think they really know its meaning:
big·ot·ed, /ˈbiɡədəd/ adjective
Obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.
Political factors have influenced disaster relief decisions, primarily through Biden’s having sole authority to declare a major disaster, which can be influenced by political considerations like a state’s electoral competitiveness.
Studies have found that disaster declarations increased in election years and were more frequent in swing states, and that political influence may explain a significant portion of aid distribution, according to a 2020 article on the Cato Institute blog.
The president has the sole authority to grant or deny a gubernatorial request for a disaster declaration, which makes the process susceptible to political influence.
Study findings: Research has found that disaster declarations increased in election years and that swing states received more frequent declarations. One study estimated that nearly half of all FEMA disaster relief was influenced by politics rather than actual need between 1991 and 1999.
The Stafford Act, which governs disaster relief, does not have specific mathematical formulas or damage thresholds for disaster declarations, allowing for a high degree of discretion.
The decentralized nature of the system, the high visibility of disasters, and the involvement of elected officials can all contribute to politicization.
States with greater representation on subcommittees overseeing FEMA have also received more disaster relief, and a state’s electoral competitiveness has been found to influence whether it receives a presidential disaster declaration.
Do those who are charged under this investigation fit any common race, gender, and ideology pattern? /sarchasm - that gaping whole between a liberal and the real world
(Other than being hate-filled, incompetent, over-paid and under-worked government minions?)
These people belong in prisons.

lol
Our house and all of our possessions were destroyed by Helene, but we avoided FEMA like the plague. Many others, including business owners did, as well. F*** FEMA.
FEMA sent obese black female agents with chips on their shoulders into the RED counties of East Tennessee and western North Carolina in the wake of the Helene disaster. Hurricane victims didn’t trust them, and the feds saved some serious money.
Oh, yeah - I’ll bet Governor Arbuckle would JUST love to go after the Republicans and conservatives in Illinois.
It is difficult to dissociate this behavior from morality. Doing the “right” thing, treating others as you would wish to be treated, is too central to a moral person to be overcome by petty prejudice. IOW to act as those FEMA officials acted would be impossible for a person of conscience.
All of the left’s actions speak to their lack of a sense of right & wrong. The removal of God from society and from schools in particular left a void that swallows many people. That is why to me the left is not simply of different opinions, stupid, or ignorant. To me the left is evil. The worst part of evil is that it hides as just ordinary, protecting it from consequences and eradication.
I have a niece-in-law who won’t come to family functions since the election because she says anyone who voted for Trump is heartless, immoral and uncaring. This would seem to hit all three of those markers.
Mistakes were made.
Additional training will be implemented.
