Aging lefties waste a beautiful Saturday to pretend they are speaking truth to power.
It’s difficult to think of a more effective way to illustrate the moral and intellectual emptiness of the American left than to have them march around demanding an end to an institution our founding fathers abolished 250 years ago. This is how the official “No Kings” website described what happened on Saturday: “On October 18, more than seven million of us rose up at more than 2,700 events in all 50 states, DC, and cities worldwide to say: America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people.” These folks are a little late to the party, as Thomas Jefferson would probably point out were he still with us.
Here’s a protestor carrying a sign asking “WOULD YOU LIKE TO KILL NAZIS W ME.” When asked to name a specific Nazi, he answered, “Stephen Miller.”
What they are actually protesting, of course, has nothing to do with kings. It’s just another mass outbreak of Trump Derangement Syndrome. As Brit Hume phrases it on X, “The ‘No Kings’ rallies are mostly a protest against a man who sought power three times through democratic elections and enacted his major agenda item by majority vote of democratically elected members of Congress. Some King.” Batya Ungar-Sargon expands on his point as follows: “The Left isn’t protesting a king but their fellow Americans. They aren’t standing up for democracy — they are protesting against it.” They seem to have forgotten that Donald Trump was democratically elected less than one year ago with a popular majority.
The Babylon Bee, as it frequently does, captured the true essence of No Kings and the intellectual capacity of the protestors: “Millions of Americans took to the streets today in order to express to the...”

There are videos that show an impressive number of people. These videos are taken from the air.
I keep looking for a date and time stamp on the videos. I have not seen any.
The only source I recognized was MSNBC, and they were probably passing off someone else’s video.
I also looked for signs carried by people showing that the video is actually for the No Kings protest. You can’t make out any signs from these arial views.
Someone asked why there was no fall foliage in the video from Boston. There should be fall foliage in most of the videos, but little to none is present.
The claim of 7 million protestors and the many videos seem impressive. However, they never explain how they got to their magic number. Please tote it up by city. Tell us your method. When I see a lot of people, it’s not obvious if the total is 50,000 or a 500,000.
The videos could be for anything. There is nothing that indicates a video is for the No Kings protest.
The videos themselves may not even be 100% real. I can’t help but think of Hollywood movies where the fake Coliseum is filled with a fake yelling crowd through computer imaging. Video copy and paste, repeat. Do you think Democrats have any Hollywood friends who might do something like that?
The number of videos (cities) make you think there must be something to it. When “multiple women” made accusations against Herman Cain, his Presidential run came to an end. Multiple women made accusations against Bill Clinton, but they were brought out and destroyed one at time. Then we were warned that there could be more “bimbo eruptions.” In this case, we should remember that numerous bogus videos add up to nothing.
At the very least, the left is sloppy in making their case. It probably is not all false. It probably is not all true either. So, we are left to guess.
Conservatives have shared ground level videos. The people in question are definitely supporting No Kings or some other hate Trump event because of their signs, shirts, etc. The protestors are generally old-timers. Not too many either.
The videos are not complete. Someone could claim that they are not representative. At least they are real. Those are real people, often vulgar and stupid, who hate Trump.
Neither the Democrats, not the press have much credibility with me.
I remember reading about a huge “Welcome the troop home” parade in New York city at the end of the Vietnam war. The networks refused to televise it. Between silence on what is real and incredible hype on nothing much, the press has no credibility with me.

Impressive shots would have been front and center the day of. I didn’t see any that didn’t look anemic the day of.
From what I have read, the number of protesters nationwide was closer to about a million, not seven million. The actual numbers were based off of police reports from numerous areas.
I passed by the “No Kings” protest nearest me. I have to say they didn’t all look old or gay. Some even had normal colored hair ;)

The local on-the-ground reports here (that I am hearing on the Bob Jones show, 1440 AM Corpus Christi) - is that it was mostly old whites - the old hippies, and cursing at a local conservative black that showed up...also, the actual signs were vile, with foul language.
Figures.
