At this point, I’m hoping Mamdani wins. I say this as someone who does not live in New York City, of course. But I am sure he will be a disaster and a great target for Republicans in the midterms.
If I were a New Yorker and Sliwa dropped out, so would I. I would stay home on Election Day.

Cuomo buddies at NYP wrote this and it’s probably wrong. The NY idiots, especially the lib women are going to put the muzzie in.
If the voters in NYC want Mandami, then so be it, because as H.L. Menkin said, democracy is based on the principle that the common man knows what he wants and deserves to get it, good and hard.
This is what I’ve been expecting all along, even before Adams dropped out. Sliwa has a vanity project going right now. That self centeredness may be one reason Trump doesn’t want to deal with Curtis, someone Trump does not think is able to win this race. So far, Curtis won’t Play Ball, and accept some lucrative job offer to leave the race right now.
This may have been why Adams dropped out when he did.

Agreed. Mamdani is a communist. But he’s much more than just that. He’s also a radical Muslim. And NYC was attacked by Muslims on 9/11.
It would be a HUGE propaganda victory for Islam if the next mayor of NYC was Muslim.
Cuomo is a despicable person and a terrible elected official. That said. Mandami is far worse.

He would become the poster boy for Democrat radicalism so yes, in that sense it would be a plus for Republicans. However, if Mamdani wins he will run NYC into the ground as it will become a debt ridden and lawless mess of enormous magnitude that would lead to a rescue/bailout at some point to restore order. We would all wind up being taxed to pay for his mess.
Elections have consequences as they say. In this case, they would be epic.
