President Donald Trump on Friday evening: "The Republican Party is not going to pay a trillion and a half dollars to illegal immigrants coming into our country, coming in for a lot of reasons, coming in from prisons, from jails, from all over the place, from Venezuela, many countries. We're not going to do that. So the shutdown continues. It's a Democrat shutdown. It's a Schumer shutdown because his career has failed and it's over."

The beauty of this all is it only affects Democrats.
Republicans are doing just fine as
they don’t depend on the government
like Democrats do.

Remember that those holier than thou Hollywood and other elites want you to provide health care, housing subsidies, food stamps, etc for their gardeners, nannies, maids, factory sweat shop employees, sex workers, etc. so they can have a few extra bucks for blow, vacations, mansions, etc.

States have power to fund healthcare:

Possible California law:

Employers shall pay on rational demand the PPACA premiums for their employees and workers of unincorporated contractors insomuch as the premiums are not otherwise paid.

The unemployment system shall pay the PPACA premiums of unemployed workers holding policies issued prior to discharge.

Employers of persons not legally entitled to work in the United States shall pay the entire cost of platinum level coverage for those employees and other employed persons and dependent family members of their households.

There shall be an independent sales tax on landscaping and roofing work of 1% which shall be distributed to hospitals providing EMTALA care as the Secretary of Health may reasonably specify.

Schumer is too old to continue. This is a ‘don’t let the door hit you on the way out’ comment. When Chuck calls it quits Trump can rub it in and take credit. If Schumer’s ‘brave’ and continues the fight we’ll all be eating popcorn in front of the TV.

Hey Donald, just keep taunting them. In the meantime endorse Nancy and say “I’m gonna enjoy slappin’ her around”.

Hold the line. I am willing to suffer whatever it takes to defeat the Democrats attempt to force us (conservatives) to pay via our taxes for their constituents healthcare and other benefits.

GOOD!! I spent a lot of time and money to get my wife her green card and had to sign my life away for 10 years to guarantee she wouldn’t become a public charge.

Obviously, Schumer, “A stupid politician according to Trump” didn’t read “The Art of the Deal.”

The Rats lost the election and don’t get to determine spending levels. We are now on day 19 of government shutdown. Only the shutdown of 1995, (21 days) and the shutdown of 2018-2019 (34 days) lasted longer. Eventually, people get mad when they don’t get the Big Government for which they pay, and to which they are accustomed. This will end when the Rats realize they are losing the blame game.

My wife is a legal immigrant. I owed her total support until she became a citizen. We adopted 2 kids from overseas. Same thing. I was responsible for providing all their costs until they were citizens. BTW, both kids served in the military in the ME. Son did 2 tours. Is now on disability.

Those of us old enough to remember the bad times, know this was the exact situation when that traitor McCain would organize one of his Gang Of groups to undercut what we were trying to do. Thank God for President Trump standing firm.

Let’s take a more strategic approach this time. The House has successfully passed its continuing resolution (CR). Rather than resorting to printing an additional $1.5 trillion that will simply inflate the deficit, I urge the Democrats to pinpoint specific federal programs they are willing to reduce. By doing so, they can effectively raise the necessary funds. If Senate Republicans are on board, we can swiftly adopt the CR and unite both Houses in crafting a robust new budget for 2026. This collaborative effort not only promotes fiscal responsibility but also prioritizes essential programs that truly benefit our nation.
