On Friday, a group of activists gathered at the Lincoln Memorial for a rally to kick off the "No Kings" protests

"No Kings" protests against President Trump and his administration are underway in major cities across the country on Saturday.

Protests are being held in cities including Washington, D.C., Chicago, New York City and Los Angeles.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., a former Democratic presidential candidate, and Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., are among the speakers at the D.C. protest.

The first "No Kings" demonstrations took place in June.

On Friday, a group of activists gathered at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. to kick off the "No Kings" protests.

Some activists from the group "Free Speech For People" were dressed as Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, President Donald Trump, and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, according to Getty Images photos.

Others held signs with messages like, "No Kings in America" and "Democracy, not Dynasty."

We conservatives need to hold a nationwide “NO COMMIES” protest.

I bet we would have a much bigger turnout and we wouldn’t have to pay anybody.

In a few minutes I’ll be driving through the “downtown” of my comfortable,”progressive”,suburban hometown. I know for a fact that I’ll see at least a few dozen...if not more...elderly ladies holding signs.

All done for morale. They will “feel” better for a day. There’s nothing like a bunch of 70-80 yr olds limping around with signs to change the country.

Overhyped! I saw one today and hardly anyone honked in approval. Mostly ignored and scorned.

CNN scanned several cities. Most were a couple hundred or a thousand, but Minneapolis looks like maybe 20,000 or so.

Does not look like much of a turnout.

Anyone find an image of the turnout?

Someone on X posted an old CNN article back when Obama was President where the headline was “Liberals want Obama to be a King, NOT a President”

I drove by one at noon (Robbinsdale Minnesota) There were at least 500 old white people and they brought their unemployed 30 something children with them.
So about 1000 total. Lining the street and making noise, but peaceful.
Lot’s of cops waiting in the shadows.

Wonder how many no Kingies are enamoured with the royal family, following the wacky exploits of Charles Harry Meghan etc? The irony. 250 yrs ago we fought a bloody bitter war to get the hell away from them and their KING.
Just a stunt coordinated by some Tides Foundation/DNC funded NGO, encouraging a bunch of insufferable useful idiots mouthing off about 🐂💩 they know nothing about

And you will drive carefully even if some sit down in protest on the road ahead.

They’re so lucky to have us good natured folks as their opponents.

Losers holding a loser convention. Our protest was on November 5, 2024, and DONALD J. TRUMP won in a LANDSLIDE.

I think that most protestors are in Downtown Los Angeles...Probably near the federal detention center near 101 freeway...

I do not know if any National Guard troops are still at the detention center...

This "No King" thing is stupid...If Trump were the King, National Guards would have been deployed in Chicago and Portland already...Instead he is waiting to see how federal courts rule...

If Trump were the King, there would be no government shutdown...Senate Democrats are stopping him from reopening government...Filibuster...

The idea that President Trump, like a king, is doing whatever he wants to do is false...

"No Kings" protest...How dishonest...Just call it "I hate Trump" protest...
