Celina parents react after coach accused of secretly recording boys in the locker room: "He failed our kids"

Celina ISD parents packed an emergency school board meeting Thursday night after the arrest of middle school football coach and teacher Caleb Elliott, the son of longtime Celina head football coach Bill Elliott.

According to a newly obtained arrest warrant, investigators say the 26-year-old recorded several boys in the locker room during school hours. The warrant states that 12 photos were recovered from Elliott's phone — all described as meeting the criteria of child pornography and showing young boys in various states of dress and undress.

During the meeting, parents expressed outrage and heartbreak over the allegations

The case has drawn even more attention because of Elliott's family ties. His father, Bill Elliott, who has led Celina's football program for years

So I suspect that this man was given the job no questions asked because of his father and - surprise surprise - he turned out to be a predator. Predators are always going to try to get jobs at schools or in other places where they can be around children. Any school needs rigorous background checks with no exceptions for the former coach's kid.

Back in 2001 we were living in an apartment while we were building a new house.
I kept seeing this guy out in front of one of the buildings in the parking lot, always with a basketball or football....just hanging out, until one day when I went to get my mail.

Someone had posted dozens of copies of that guy’s child predator mugshot, complete with name and address at the mailboxes.....I guess he was using the football and basketball to try and lure kids to him.

At any rate, after he was outed that was THE last time I ever saw that dude.

This demonstrates why it is difficult time to be a young white male. Many of the white male slots are taken by insiders with connections which leave few openings for others without leverage. The remaining slots are taken by members of protected classes.

Applies to universities as well. Legacy students receive first dibs leaving few slots for white males.

I think his Dad is still actively coaching at that school.
After this disgrace, I suspect his father will feel the pressure to also leave that coaching position, since that last name will always be linked to predatory behavior.

I doubt it. Elliott Sr is a great coach and always has Celina in the playoffs. They won't want that to end.

Um, I’m willing to go out on a limb here and say, yes. That one was probably a child predator.
