If Fetterman switched, h would likely gain votes and seal the deal.

If they do, Letterman will run as an independent and win in the general election.

I believe that Pennsylvania still has enough JFK Democrats that Fetterman will do OK. If the Republicans can resist the urge to nominate a John Heinz or Tom Ridge type, a big Dem revolt against Fetterman may result in a Republican win. PA is NOT NY or CA.

(from Co-Pilot AI: Pennsylvania has a sore loser law. It prevents candidates who lose in a primary election from appearing on the general election ballot as independents or under a different party affiliation. Scope of the Law: The law applies to candidates running for local, state, or federal office in Pennsylvania. If a candidate loses in a party primary, he cannot switch parties or run as an independent in the general election that follows.

I’ll be surprised if Fetterman runs for reelection. He doesn’t seem to enjoy Washington much.

Good catch, makes a big difference. I think the smart move is to jump now and join the majority.

I’ll bet they are. Democrats vote as a block. If they don’t, they’re out! (Republicans could learn from that).

Apparently the PA Dems only want anti-Israeli lawmakers.

This is good - it means his challenger will come from the left. If they beat him, as they likely will, that will be an easier seat for the GOP to win.
