Boris Johnson Insists Migration Wave Blame 'So Unfair'
Breitbart ^ | 15 Oct 2025 | Oliver JJ Lane

Boris Johnson is blameless for the UK’s mass migration “Boriswave” ushered in under his leadership, stating it was merely an exercise in human quantitative easing to suppress inflation demanded by the Treasury.

The public conversation around the surge in migrant arrivals under the last Conservative governments in the United Kingdom is “so unfair” because commenters can’t see how Boris Johnson is innocent of responsibility, Boris Johnson has said.

In remarkable comments to a podcast of The Daily Telegraph newspaper, where he had formerly been a journalist before entering politics, Mr Johnson brushed aside gross government failure as a simple fact of life rather than a problem to be fixed, side-stepped a discussion on whether mass migration risks British ceasing to the British, and launched a raft of well-worn talking points on immigration.

Grilled on his record on immigration, which has been thrown into sharp relief recently by an emerging narrative of a “Boriswave” that saw — the host noted — “between January 2021 and June 2024 4.3 million migrants” in a period where migrant arrivals gross was running at one million people every ten months, Johnson pointed the finger of blame.

Yet while the Telegraph interview may have been an attempt at reputation and legacy management, the tacit admission by Johnson that the government wasn’t in command of the situation and that the Treasury department were calling the shots may not inspire confidence.

They're coming from countries where theocracy is the norm and they appear to be quite down with that.

And the anti theocracy, pro woman, pro gay crowd in England are remarkably SILENT on this factoid.

Nope.
Boris Johnson is the father of massive illegal immigration into the UK.

Wow that was utterly insane and beyond incompetent.

Didn’t know how many were coming in but thought additional laborers would reduce inflation.

Just about the craziest and most irresponsible thing I’ve ever heard.

Take a seat, Boris. I used to have high hopes for you.
You’re one of the main characters who pulled that Trojan Horse brimming with illegals into your own lands.
Your deeds contrasting with your words.

Remember, Boris Johnson was only a PM for a short time. Carrie Symonds was PM the rest of the time.

BTW some years ago I attended a speech by a Fed Governor (democrat of course) before a republican group, and he made reference to future labor needs and was justifying illegal immigration without coming out and saying it.

These people, including Boris, Merkel, etc, are truly sick in their heads.

Half of them have an agenda, and the other half think “laborers” are just cheap warm bodies without any awareness of it mattering who you let in or how they come in.

It’s truly unbelievable.

I’m reminded of an airhead blond teenager who stamped her feet and screamed, “That’s unfair!”

As my mother said, “Life isn’t fair. You have to deal with the reality in front of you. And it’s not fair.”

Service Employer A: I can’t find all the workers I need.

Service Employer B: I can’t find all the workers I need.

Service Employer C: I can’t find all the workers I need.

Many service businesses can scale up quite easily.

My neighbor is a roofing contractor, and a wonderfully nice man. He and his relative get roofing contracts.

Hispanic roofing teams, each with a supervisor, do the actual roofing work.

My neighbor can and does land jobs with two hours of his work on average. He could land 20 jobs in a week but would need 10 crews instead of the three he has. He is seven crews short. Considering his relative, he might be 17 crews short.

His ads cost the same whether he runs three crews, or 20.

His pickup truck costs the same whether he runs three crews, or 20.

His office costs the same whether he runs three crews, or 20.
