Janai Nelson, a lawyer for the NAACP, argued before the Supreme Court on Wednesday that it is necessary to have a second majority-black district in Louisiana because “white Democrats were not voting for black candidates whether they were Democrats or not.”
“It was clear that, regardless of party, white Democrats were not voting for black candidates whether they were Democrats or not,” the lawyer for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) claimed.
“We know that there is such a significant chasm between how black and white voters vote in Louisiana that there is no question that even if there some correlation between race and party, that race is the driving factor,” she continued.
Nelson on Bluesky eulogized the death of Assata Shakur, a fugitive Black militant who was given political asylum in Cuba after she had been serving a life sentence for killing a police officer.
She wrote in September, “Still heartbroken over the passing of freedom fighter Assata Olugbala Shakur who died in exile in Cuba. Assata means ‘she who struggles’ and she never left the struggle even during her decades of asylum. May she rest in peace and power — and as an example of undaunted resistance & resilience.”

I hope SCOTUS slams her down hard. The three commie females won’t, that’s for sure.
They get black mayorships. They get black governorships. But things just get worse and worse. Correlation?
Maybe black representation in Congress is the LAST thing they need.
Seems like a party problem.
It IS.
Stupidity should be outlawed. This idiot should go back to kindergarten and learn something.
So the Democrats are the racists? Is that what was said?
Why black districts?
Shouldn’t they be Hispanic districts nowadays?
Hey, wait a minute what about Somali or Chinese districts?
I find the idea that redistricting should only favor blacks to be very racist.
How about having a Thunderdome so they can fight amongst themselves who will represent a district (no whites allowed)? /sarc.
Here's the problem they are going to have now if this case goes the way we hope: there will be more black candidates elected...by *white Republicans* - and they will be conservatives - and more of them to where they can't use the "token" smear. Their absolute worst fear to completely burst open the flood gates on their hold on this population - their cushy race hustling nest egg will be over if that happens.
Rest in Peace?
They discriminated against white females, despite the fact that at that time, there were fewer of us working in the department. It was one of the motivating factors that pushed me to retire at 56 when I was eligible, and I ended up being able to retire 23 months early, with a pension based on 33 years of service. They formulate your pension based on you dying sometime within 15 years of your retirement. I'm in my 22nd year of retirement. Every month I smile because Kathy Hochul has to send me another pension check.
:)
On a more serious note, everything you said was correct.
Blacks are essentially getting a free ride at the expense of whites, and still whine and moan about “racism” every chance they get.
🤣
Yeah because Obama was elected only with brown people votes. Twice. People like this should be in a zoo cage, so everyone can laugh at the racist.
Took the postal exam in the late 80s.
100 points possible....but
10 points for being female
10 points for being nonwhite
10 points for being a veteran (that one I didn’t mind).
So theoretically someone with the right boxes checked would get hired ahead of me with a 71 score, even if I ace the test.
NOW do you wonder why the USPS is the craphole it is?
The anti-white racism & violence in black culture is absolutely disgusting and is not compatible in a civilized society.
Yup.
I thought our votes were protected from prying eyes?
BREAKING NEWS:
NAACP Lawyer appearing before the Supreme Court today and makes a RACIST statement to prove she’s defending Black voters against racism.
I know it's been a craphole for sometime now. When you keep getting mail and packages for someone in the same apartment number, but they live in another building, you realize that the postal service isn't hiring people who can read. There's only four buildings in this complex, and they are all clearly numbered 100, 200, 300 and 400, and all the post boxes in the front hall have the resident's last name on them, yet they can't get it right.
