18 years is actually fast for an execution.
“The governor previously disclosed that state officials spent $1.175 million on lethal injection doses over the past year — $600,000 of which was spent by former Gov. Eric Holcomb’s administration on drugs that expired before use. The cost has been between $275,000 and $300,000 per dose.”
I’m sure the street price is considerably better...
This is not justice....this along with every death penalty case is just an elongated period of despair for the victims families..
I am surprised that his attorneys were not able to get a judge to stay the execution.
Indiana doesn’t want him anymore.
Ask Canada what they use for assisted suicide. $300,000 per dose?!!?? Some one is making a killing and the state is too stupid to figure that out.
24 years, not 18
Or they’re getting a cut. ;<)
Part of the shame of society for allowing that.
The victims were dead right away and the killers shot hoops, surfed the prison computers, watched TV and movies, did a little reading and complained about the food variety served three times a day. With dental care, medical care and physical rehab if needed.
Satan welcomes this Murderer to Hell.
“”24 years, not 18”””
Convicted and sentenced in 2007. Still way too long.
I agree. A death penalty delayed for years or decades is NOT a deterrent.
One that is carried out swiftly and publicly after a fair trial IS a deterrent.
That’s obscene! Who is getting that money for $50 worth of drugs?
You can get 50 rounds of 9mm for 12 bucks.
24 SINCE HE KILLED HER.
COSTS to hold a prisoner run about $100,000 a year

Stacy Payne, who was murdered at her Spencer County home on July 11, 2001, at age 15.
A baseball bat can be borrowed...
Actually 24 years. Why does it take so Kong to execute murders? Is the state hoping they’ll die of old age?
Why do so many condemned inmates seem to be named “Lee”, “Earl”, or “Wayne”?
