Gov. Gavin Newsom is threatening to withhold billions in state funds from any California college that signs onto an agreement crafted by President Donald Trump's administration requiring schools to agree to support the President's education agenda in order to have access to federal dollars.

Why does the judge have to be “out there?” Just do like the Democrats and go to some conservative state and have a judge overturn Newsom. The lower the judicial authority, the better.
I’d love to be wrong on this, but I don’t expect compliance from any of the name-brand universities that Trump invited to sign on to this. We’re talking about schools with >80% far-left faculty. They’ll forego the federal funds with the idea that Trump will be gone in 3 years, and it’ll be a return to business as usual

That’s okay Newsom, many of the students who attend are illegals, liberals, and malcontents, many of whom don’t pay from their pockets for the tuition.
That decision, to deliberately decline federal funds, in order to remain PC/ Hard Left, may effect their rate of enrollment.
What Newscum is threatening is completely political and should be challenged in court. Maybe those left-wing colleges out there will find some balls.
Threaten to withhold all federal funding including for student loans to any California university that doesn’t sign up for it.
I have no use to Newsom but what exactly is he stealing? Was the money appropriated by the legislature?
He will face court challenges similar to what Trump faced for threatening to withhold funds to colleges. Whether he will be successful will depend on which branch of state government is charged with approving and disbursing the money.

How could this be a problem?
given California is $1.6 Trillion (with a T) in debt, where for art are these ‘billions withheld’ coming from? Is Newsom printing his own currency now? And are those phantom billions going to be used to pay down state debt if they won’t go to schools, or will they just redirect to enrich the perks slushfunds for state employees? California taxpayers want to know.
