Maine resident allegedly finds 250 ballots in her Amazon delivery, ahead of referendum on voter ID

Law enforcement is investigating how 250 ballots ended up in a Maine resident's Amazon package, the secretary of state's office said Wednesday.

“We are aware of the serious allegations that packages of ballots were received by a private citizen. Law enforcement is investigating the matter,” the office told WABI.

The news outlet did not report which law enforcement agency that is.

The alleged discovery comes just weeks before Question 1, a voter ID citizens referendum, is expected to appear on the Maine ballot. The news stories are unclear whether the question appears on the apparently blank ballots.

Only 250, I guess they expected a light turnout.

We only know about this because she reported it. How many such boxes, or hundreds or thousands of boxes, have been successfully delivered to their actual intended recipients?

Wasn’t Bezos making nice with Trump a couple of months ago at the White House? Perhaps we shouldn’t be trusting him though.

If Amazon isn’t in on it, I imagine that some Dem front could have set up a quasi-fake store on their site to mask the deliveries? I wonder if that’s done for contraband of other forms.

Maybe somebody with the same name, age, race and sex had their name on a Special Services Volunteer List.

Amazon varies, due to the tech machines.

This woman got a bunch of illegally distributed ballots.

I not long ago got a sealed, empty, blue and white Amazon jiffy bag delivered to me instead of the book I paid for. Record said “delivered.”

Really tough to prove that one. They believed me as a long time ravenous book loving customer, though.

If this person got 250. You can bet there are others going to different places. The reason that person did not get more is because the ballots change from precinct to precinct. So you need to print new ones for each area. And in most cases you need to find registered voters who don’t vote. That is where college students and renters become important. They tend to move a lot. Thats why the black population is a good target. A guy rents in a building or even lives with a girl. Then he moves out after registering and voting in one election. Because nobody “unregisters”. They fill out the ballot and he votes in his old apartment. No body knows unless they search for him online and few stats have that ability to see if you have voted from your previous place. Wisconsin has an app so you can see if someone voted for you. But illinolis does not have such a thing.

Sounds like the FBI should be involved, not just the local yokels.
